Wal is passionate about the Panthers and he has the player's respect. Perhaps he should say a few words...

I havent read the forum since saturday.

Katoa should have been hooked earlier in the game. He has too much indecision in his play which causes the handling errors and wrong options with the ball.

I hope he comes good, but personally he reminds me of Iosefa when he started to struggle.

That's a good comparison. I see the same.

In saying that though, he's also playing behind a (currently) poor pack who has been beaten the last few weeks. When our pack was dominate or at least equal, I thought he was really good for us. Plenty of try assists & secondary try/line break assists.

There does seem to be a bit of an infatuation about Egan & I think Katoa is more criticized because of it. I think we'll see Egan starting this week & i have no issue with that, although personally I think i'd still stick with Katoa for the opening 20 - 25 & then bring Egan on for the remainder.

I am of the view neither is ready to start. I guess we see how Egan goes this week. Katoa is ave 33 tackles a game since starting that is affecting his attack and service. It is just young guys growing pains type of thing
