It has clearly hindered his performances so why has he been playing? Finals are coming, we've been in for weeks and if it's about wrapping up the top 4 his performances have been more of a hindrance.
Murray is certainly good enough to start in his place, Fuimaono (0), Tatola (7) and Clark (22 - 10 in the bin) got f**k all minutes from the bench at the weekend and by all reports, Dean Britt's form at Norths has been fantastic this year. There is no reason why Sam had to be playing.

If i have one knock of Seibold this season it is that he doesn't use his squad enough.

As I’ve said in other threads, I’d rather take a rested team to Melbourne than play a busted team against Roosters. I really think an opportunity has been missed to rest a couple of players, Sam included. Plus if we loose this week anyway busting our already busted players even more, we take a really busted team to Melbourne.

The fact of the matter is that Seibild obviously thinks Sam with one arm is better than the fringe players at Souths which I tend to agree with. Let’s be honest he still managed to play better than Clark and Tatola!

We're currently on a three game losing streak one week out from finals and a crocked Sam Burgess has played 210 minutes of a possible 240.
The last two games have been lost badly and Sam has averaged 100 run metres, down from 149.5 over the rest of the season. He has a tackling efficiency of 86.8% for the season.

Cameron Murray who would replace him at lock averages 109.3 metres per game in 57.5 minutes when wearing the 13. So even though he doesn't have the power game that Sam does, his 6 games starting in 2018 have reaped more metres from less minutes than Sam's previous two efforts. Murray also has a tackling efficiency of 90.8%.

Jason Clark in 25 minutes v Brisbane had more impact on a game than any of Sam's previous two. His time on the field was the only time we looked like winning.

Tevita Tatola has played 36 minutes in the past three games, including 8 v Easts and 7 v Canberra. Sure he's not elite but in a period of the season when we looked fatigued, his fresh legs were left sitting. He is a guy could benefit immensely from getting some minutes on the park but instead has sat down for 70+ minutes in games while we're being beaten with injured and fatigued players on.

We all know how good Sam can be when he is fit and firing but the facts are that his past two or three weeks haven't been better than what a fringe player would serve up and the results reflect that.

Completely agree. Melbourne aren't the threat they previously have been and i see no reason why a fit South Sydney team can't beat them.
A lot of teams are stumbling at the moment and the only reason Melbourne aren't being mentioned as one is due to a poor win against a poor Gold Coast side.

Plus our last win over Melbourne shows Seibs is all over their game plan.

It is a concern about Sam and I agree, I really can't see why he has played the last couple of weeks tbh. However, I think he'll be okay, the Finals will really fire him up I hope.

Bro I am quite nervous for the match tomorrow. It’s a very important one to gain momentum.

Game Day!!! And it's a pretty big day for us actually. We really need to find some form tonight or we could be shot this year.

I think we can do it but no way is it gonna be easy, Tigers will be very fired up and they seem o always play well against us.
