Need it be reminded that this game will be FREE to all members of every club. Everyone is going to get free tickets.

There'll be free tickets to a bloke up the road kicking his cat if anyone wants to go. It's a double-header because he's mowed his lawn: we can watch his grass grow.

The double header idea would of be unreal, the crowd would of easily been over 65k or so and close to selling out but as it is Saints/Rabbits can and should get at least 25-30k and the Dogs/NZ at least 35-40k, hopefully they both can go over the 30k mark

all el masri can do is kick goals..

would of made one hell of a rugby union player!
league meh not so much
Over 300 top grade games, 160 tries (and many more saved), premiership, origin & international rep, highest point scorer ever etc. but just a goal kicker, sorry he isnt your flashy player but he has had a brilliant career and will go down as a Bulldog legend

160 tries - his a winger most would of been catch, run, score
premiership - as a winger not the BIGGEST hand in winning it i would say
origin - 1 origin and wasn't he only called in because the series had been won/lost and there was noone left?

he is there because he can kick if he couldn't he would not of played a quarter of the games he has off of the merit of just being a winger

OK, I'll be a hypocrite and bite:

Catch run score... how else do you f**king score, idiot? We're debating the merit of tries now? Anyone who can score 160+ has something going for them tbh.

The premiership you've obviously erased from your pitiful memory. El Masri was responsible for the match-winning try you numbskull, and it was a very good one.

As for Origin, he was one of NSW's best in that game, and scored most of the points.

As a winger im debating that he isnt doing the hardest job by running it over, remember that time he went length of the field to score.. oh wait....

we get he can score points
but if he wasn't a goal kicker would you honestly have el masri on the wing for your top 13?

That still requires skill.... you know, finishing? Despite what you would have us believe, El Masri doesn't always receive the ball 1 metre out with nobody in front of him.

El Masri is one of the best finishers in the game. You don't score 160 tries by accident.

Yay! ANOTHER Monday Night Football game. Rather fitting Newcastle and Canberra get to wrap Monday Night Football up for 2009, considering both sides have had the most of any club in the comp bar Melbourne.

Fugg you Channel Nein, NRL and Fox Sports :)

question is
does he make your top 13 without his goal kicking?

This year, probably not. Most of his career - absolutely. He made the team well before he assumed kicking duties from Halligan in 2000.
