Behind the scenes the playing group playing table tennis, getting massages etc but no beers or cold ones for them obviously In there own private area.

There are other Panthers fan here at the Mercure, have met them all and have booked maxi taxi with a few to get us to the game tomorrow. There are quite a few events happening in town including the third one day international between Australia and Zimbabwe so advised to book taxis early as there is a major shortage here at present apparently. Go figure the Zimbabwe cricket team are staying at the Ville Casino and Resort while we are staying at the Mercure Resort. Anyway everyone looks pretty relaxed, hopefully we put in a good performance tomorrow night.

A morning training session into supporting a severly under strength NSW Cup side, Does plenty for culture too.

They flew up today, fly home tomorrow night so you lose a day preparation. Sunday they might just do video or something, You can start that at 6am like normal. You can't do that if the charter flight gets in at 2am, so wipes another day out

Curfews at a Mascot Airport don’t allow for arrivals after 10.30pm or 11pm.

No curfew at Bankstown Airport so perhaps a private charter could potentially be available to them to arrive home 2am or 3am. Not sure how that would be of any benefit really.

No point really from a player perspective.

The coaching and support staff I guess keen to get home as soon as possible and get things in place for Friday night.

Of the 19 players here in Townsville there is only a handful likely to figure on Friday night, and for the most part the players are somewhat used short turn arounds.

We didn’t invade the private space of either players, coaching staff or support staff. Wife and I just enjoyed our meals, drinks and watched the footy on TV. If an opportunity presents tomorrow at breakfast I will ask one of the support staff about there movements post game.

One thing i would like to see is a late switch between turuva and staines.

Charlies been good this year. Bit i think its clear hes probably not going ti be here next year.

May as well see what turuva has at fb and staines has been better on the wing anyway!!

Wouldnt be opposed to riki or geyer coming in either for sorensen.

Sorensen is the ultimate proffesional.. hes always in ridiculously good shape and looks after himself. One more week off wont hurt him and he can come back and fire next week.

We are going to have to be at our best to beat parra. Theyve really matched us over the last few years.

No point having Luke and Cole on the bench,Cole is making his debut drop Luke and give riki a go cowboys are close to full strength we need some big boppers to stop there forwards.Im happy with the team but the bench is tiny without a geyer or riki.
