How does the new finals scheduling work? Is it 2v3 Friday, 1v4 Sunday, and the Eliminators on the Saturday?

Based on this the NRL clearly expects us to finish in the top 3.

Actually its more like channel nein expects you to finish in the top 3...

True.

Just on that, Cronulla v NQ might be a historic match as it could very well be the last ever to be shown on delay on FTA.

They wont be getting rid of the FNF double header anytime soon, would they?

Unless one is FTA, and the other Fox Sports

Stupid scheduling - regardless of the finals, the Eels nad Drags still have big supporter bases, dissapointing it won't be on Channel 9.

Oh well, ANZ wouldn't get 30,000 with that timeslot.

Donks/Panthers will be a ratings f**king bonanza...

Could be if it is Brisbane playing to make the finals.

Don't think it made any difference to the ratings in the same situation R26 2010 though.

1 vs 4 Friday night, 5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7 Sat night, 2 vs 3 Sun arvo.

Sunday 2 September
Warriors v Raiders at Mt Smart Stadium, 2:00pm FOX (4pm NZ time)
Sharks v Cowboys at Toyota Stadium, 3:00pm Channel 9
Eels v Dragons at Parramatta Stadium, 7:00pm FOX

Why wouldnt the Warriors game be played earlier, 12.00 AEST, then have the remaining two at 2pm and 3pm?? :x

...because there's always been a 7pm Sunday game in place of MNF for the last few years?

Chances are the new deal will allow matches to be shown live on both FTA and Pay TV in a similar way to how the AFL operates at the moment. Therefore even if one game is delayed on 9, you can still catch it live on Fox.

1 vs 4 Friday night, 5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7 Sat night, 2 vs 3 Sun arvo.
Not confirmed yet. Assuming you got that from the Ladder Predictor - just a mock up atm. They'll decide it after Parra v Saints.

Because the final round is always structured 2 x Fri 7:30, 1 x Sat 5:30, 2 x Sat 7:30, Sun 2, 3 and 7. Has been for years.

Because Fox want similar ratings on the Sunday night to their usual Monday night slot?

7pm > 12pm as far as viewers go.

Why should the Parra game be on Channel 9? I think given their position on the ladder they have had quite enough FTA games this year.
