Cole Talagi and Toelau are ALL ahead of Schneider by a long way. Id even put leota at halfback ahead of schneider. He should genuinely never see first grade unless half the team blows up

Cole and Talagi took it to Storm tonight which in my opinion is more than Schneider has ever done. Id be sticking with them for next week

You could run with Toelau 7 Cole 6 Talagi 14 next week if we are concerned about not having a genuine 7. But in my opinion Cole tonight had his best game with more touches of the ball, I’d stick with him at 7 for the time being

I watched him and just got 'penrith' vibes of the last 5 years

He put his body on the line and was soo good.

Him, garner and henry off the bench could be a huge combo going forward.

As i said... sometimes you get more out of a win then a loss.

If wed won last week by a try in the corner om the 79th minute wed all be here saying it was one of our worst performances... which it was.

I said a couple of weeks ago Cole is a natural 7. 332 kick metres tonight from 13 kicks matches what Schneider can deliver.

Cole and Talagi didn’t take it to the Storm, the collective spirit of the team kept us in the contest.
It was gutsy, commendable we are all very proud but we lost. We have to select a 17 without Nathan to beat the Bunnies and to that end I think we need an actual half back. Whatever you or anyone else thinks about Brad Schneider he is not that bad and is more than capable of steering us to a victory against the Bunnies if everyone sims up.

Even with 2 horrendous errors tonight, Cole put in a better performance at 7 than Schneider ever has.

Forget the love he got in commentary. Hes kicking was terrible. Missing touch twice is inexcusable for a a grade player let alone an nrl player.

He almost bombed the alamonti try in the corner passing way to early when munster backed off.

Watch blaize did in to the line.. watch his vision at the last minute. Cole doesnt have that.

I love coles defence.. bjt i just think i saw more in talagi tonight than cole.

Having said that. Not bagging cole. He did so well without nath. Just blaize looked better as a 6

Totally fine.

I really do rate both. Footballers both of them I think (I'd hope so at this point they are wearing our first grade jersey).

I'm finding it hard to be critical of the team. Spine make up is fun for once at least. No Cleary, Edwards or Luai if you want to include him (Kenny can get a knock at training for the lols so we can see Soni Luke back in the 17).

He did miss touch granted that wasn't good but Hughes also put one out on the full. So that says the conditions weren't the best.

We had a game with no senior kicker and Blaze kicked it 4 times. So either he can't kick or he isn't confident yet. Neither is good for a potential 6 in a top 4 side

Hence why Ivan until now has been persisting with Cole at 6. One should be 6. One should be the 14 so plenty of time to interchange them

I posted in another thread a NSW Cup team list from last year. It was a few games but the Canberra 1 was the one I remember.

If Cole wasn't organising that side then who was?

He was signed as a 7 and jumped Ball and Flegg to play centre in NSW Cup because we were stacked.

Whether he is good enough for an NRL halves spot is the question but the same question is on the other options we have atm

Nathan will be ineligible to play against the Bunnies with the 11 day rule so Schneider will have to come in like it or not.

It was a gutsy effort, won all the stats everywhere but on the scoreboard. Conceding tries on the last tackle hurts big time, three or four tonight.

I'd rather Toleau tbh.
