Like many who have seen big Eddie in his limited NSW Cup appearances he has been a tad underwhelming but from what I have read he was pretty good on the weekend. I would love him to succeed, big body should be able to do some damage even if only for 25 minutes or so. His lateral movement worries me, could be a liability to our defensive structure.

Now he is getting fit. He is looking better he isn't ready yet but maybe in a month

When we signed him. I was told give him 6 months to get fit and he will be good.

Covid didn't help but we are starting to see some promise

It would be interesting to go through News archives to read what Blooper had to say when all these signings were happening. Apart from Packer I thought they were good signings. (Bennett left the Saints and Knights in a mess, but thats OK).

W/T I've noticed (like many clubs) supporters and members are generally excited and thrilled when the announcement is made. There is then a honeymoon period, often quickly followed by a trickle of complaints which then overtake them.

To be honest many of the purchases have been previously good players, now into a rapid decline. Paid as high end prices for many years.

The signing of Api perhaps will change that.......though.

Soni is Nathan's age. He's just been riddled with injury.

A number of weeks ago I suggested that Luke is a good option for the future without Api. Much cheaper option too.

That's what I was getting at. People on here have mentioned it before and that means he's not an ordinary rookie but should be further along in his development, well as much as possible.

This was his 1st NRL pre season

That is the issue should we not go in with a recognised 9 next year
