Well, 4 of the last 6 years that has been the case. Mind you, we were 1 and 3 in 2003 as well and with a much worse for and against than we have now.

2010 and 2014 (correction) we over achieved. Somehow we managed to jag a spot in the finals but if we are honest with ourselves, how many years have we had where we have been consistent and able to win most games we play? The Bulldogs are a prime example, they had a winning combination, let one half go and had a guy called Mbye to take his opportunities, still competitive and still win games.

We have the juniors, so many of them but take Cartwright for example, plays 4 poor games followed by a blinder and most jump and cheer.

We don't know who or what we are as a football team.

We have a fanbase that truly believes Mansour and DWZ are the best wing combination in the NRL, so I'm not surprised there is confusion regarding our actual results vs expectations.

Unfortunately it looks like we will be that team: "They're exciting to watch and they try hard". Good qualities to have but if were not winning.

But it's not 2003 or 91 Mr Frog. We are not going to go on a 7 or so game unbeaten run playing the way we do. There are no signs our attack is going to blow sides off the park.

We deserved to lose today. Basic errors, poor decisions from key players and far too many missed tackles. Not defending the sidelines for a telegraphed short kickoff properly are just amateur team mistakes.

Ex - I think you mean 2014 we overachieved.

Thats the type of game I like to see from the Panthers, at least they tried and tried hard. i will continue to follow them if they continue to play like that.

The coach and his assistant have never played at NRL level so how can they coach at that level?

Almost 400 metres between them. They really suck .. both would have tries if DWZ wasn't shouldered off the ball by Nightingale

We just don't gel as a team or as a club. Hell, even our fan base is divided. Merrin was making the same metres at St. George and they let him leave, most don't even miss him, why? Cause he doesn't have the impact. Is it really that unusual for a modern day forward to make 100m+ a game or any other significant contributing stat? Shouldn't we expect that from our 60+ minute players? Especially a marquee.

I certainly think Blake is shit. Honestly, it's like he's playing wet weather football every week. Give me Bryson Goodwin over that guy. What's Idris doing? What about Rennings or Gennings? Remember how we all said Rennings was the best of the three...where's he at? So much promise but so little delivered.

We had plenty of work to do tonight and not everything went our way but we are a bottom 4 team, maybe 10th or 11th.
