Sorry I'm late, if Burton stayed with us then maybe close to a million with the dolphins, but Burton done all his work with a premiership side and done f**k all on his own. Ponga bigger risk ya reckon? Even grant? Dam man Burton must be on your to bang list haha

Well it looks like the bench is going to be as listed. If we get an injury in the forwards it could get interesting. Real poor team selection

That is the way the game is going

Kenny goes to lock. Yeo to prop
Salmon 2nd row in that setup

Until we play a good team it won't matter

No its not. 2 bench players who can play in the forwards yes, this isn't what we have done. Salmon has no place out there

That team selection has got us to 5 and 0 though, so hard to argue with the results.

It enables option to cover most in game HIA’s and injuries and still get the win
Tag the wrong post? My whole point of this one is that Ponga is a bum

He has taken over Mays role who can slot in at halves, centre and second row. Who else at this stage and of their career development can cover the positions he can cover?

That is it.

You don't want to waste a young guy to potentially not get on the field

In a finals game against a good side you can't carry Salmon and Kenny. We'll get trounced

Sorry mate... too many beers! I meant to respond to your previous post:

If Salmon is our 14 then fine (I REALLY) disagree but we can't run a bench with both.

The main reason we beat Melbourne last year was them picking 2 gun players on the bench in Smith and Hynes

We're not playing a finals game. It's round 5.

The bench will change again when Leota is fit. Kenny will move back to reggies. I think Salmon at this stage, fulfils that 14 role well.
I agree that this bench is only until Leota returns, then it will be a choice of Kenny or Salmon as the utility.

Name your bench then.
We are going to be far too good and I know many don't like me saying it.
As to your question we pick out of Kenny or Salmon. Then make sure Spencer starts (and gets huge minutes). That puts Huth on the bench with one of those. Then pick two young forwards

Just an opinion but these are the games where we test fringe forwards
I have the opposite view where you pick whatever is your strongest side to win as many early games as you can, especially before we start losing players to origin.

There will be chances throughout the year for the younger players to get an opportunity due to injuries or origin selections, such Mays chance with To’o out injured.

Salmon isn't in that though. Not even close
