Remember towards the back end of last year Ivan made a comment about whether the players wanted to put their bodies on the line. He basically challenged their commitment. Perhaps with the long run of success they are not hungry enough.

It’s the same thing.

When we are playing well and everyone is connected in defence, Tago will jam in defence, he will drift and cover as required.

At the moment the team is completely out of sink and none of that is working, it starts with inside defenders. That’s always going to make the centres look bad. If we keep playing this poorly, you could swap in the best defensive centre in the comp and it wouldn’t matter.

I know what y’all will say, “But he’s missing 1 on 1 tackles”. Sure, that would worry me if he was committing to tackles as missing, but he’s not, he’s getting caught in two minds and not committing.

Personally I think both of our edges look as dodgy as each other. The team needs to get together, sort their shit out and start trusting each other.
He's compromising the whole edge with his poor decisions. Its clear as f**king day for anyone watching that his men inside and outside know he is shit. His actual tacking ability is passable

That’s your opinion, it’s certainly not reality.

We all know you hate Tago, but you have to ask yourself, if you are correct and he’s been as bad as you say for three years, why hasn’t Penrith dropped him?

or consider this,

You’re just reading the situation wrong and the coaching staff know better than you.

Hahahaha keep your head in the sand if you wish.

I don't hate Tago. I believe he is one of the most underperforming players in the clubs history. Such a waste of talent

Anyone that’s spent 5 minutes in forum in last two years would say that you hate him.

You can’t go 3 posts without mentioning him.

it’s a genuine obsession.

He's the weakest spot in our side and has been for years. He now doesn't even make up for it with the ball. Every neutral fan with half a clue knows it yet you won't admit it.

Luke is the worst @Apey some just won't face reality

There is a reason why every team targets our right side...

Yet some choose not to admit why this is
Remember how high you and I were on Tago when he started out? We were sure he'd progress into a gun backrower. To say I hate him is ridiculous, I hate merkins like the May boys

Still is worth a crack there but it isn't working on the edge in defence

Sharks and Storm games we were a totally different outfit.

Appreciate some personnel changes but it isn't fixing the mess we are in.

My point that no one will address is that. Tago hasn't been able to defend for 3 years now. How can Ivan lay the boot into anyone when he's still being picked? No one would believe a word out of his mouth.

As I said before.

Turuva was dropped for a few errors on that right side last year. He has now left and we still the right side issues.

So if we don't drop the 1 constant then how does the issue fix?

Ivan knows what he’s doing.

You saying the same thing week in week out without actually offering any insight into what’s going wrong and how dumping Tago fixes it, makes for incredibly boring discussion forum reading.

Can we all agree that Chins and co, want Tago axed and move on. We might actually get some interesting chat.

Has anyone seen Blaize kick a bomb? I was watching him the other night and he was hitting absolute monsters! Not quite Burton, but they were going up there!

I'd love to talk others matters but we can't do shit while we have this gaping hole in our defence

Has Zero to do with Loyalty and everything to do with what is smart.

Our team needs stability.

We are defending like shit because they lack connection. So many changes so far this year on the back of a bad pre-season.

The only way to build that is to play the best team we have each week. The team Ivan thinks will win a grand final.

If Tago isn’t a premiership winning centre, who in our top 30 is?? Who are you bringing in that just turns this around?

Blaming individuals in rough patches like this is very short sighted.

Exactly my thinking......dropping players won't help cohesion. I think Cole failed his head injury assessment. So hopefully Blaize gets brought in, rather than Brad Schn. Leota only money fine for crusher tackle.

So Ivan was wrong when he dropped Turuva last year to try and fix right side defensive issues?
