Round 6 v Redcliffe

Maybe now we can put to bed Jack Cole being the death of this team and Talagi being our saviour. For another week we can expect the dropping of 18 year old McLean to be the solution and Jesus Christ who knows in his place to be the answer. Not sure where to next week when a completely systematic breakdown of our game doesn’t resolve on that basis once again.

That wasn’t as diabolical as the last few games but it was more insipid. That looked like a bottom 4 team just going about their business rather than a decent team having a stinker.

Mountain of work to do. Most of it surely attitude and desire. Looks to be gone. Only Ivan can save us. Shuffling the squad isn’t the answer. Dropping the guy who has been getting blown to shit for 18 months on the right is the only necessity.

Negativity wins nothing.the Storm have ONLY won 2 legitimate titles under Bellyache. Have you EVER managed people tearing strips off people went out with the dinosaurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Denial wins nothing either. Bellyache as much as he is hated has the highest win percentage out of all coaches and his team is consistently good. As much as I absolutely hate the Storm, he will get another this year unless Bennett or Ciraldo stop him.

Suddenly every other team looks bigger, fitter, faster. We look we haven’t played together before.

I knew the good times wouldn’t last forever, but I imagined we would eventually slowly slide out the back door, not crash and burn.

2 or 3 more losses and we are officially in the rebuild zone.

Why would you pair up McLean and Jenkins 2 inexperienced guys on one side. And have tago and alamoti on the other.Tago and alamoti should be the 2 centres with Jenkins on 1 wing and McLean on the other.Lindsay Smith is terrible at the moment looks so slow.Blaize needs to release the ball he dummies too often and then try's the miracle.pass that's not on.But he needs to be in the 17 if not 5/8 at least centre maybe. The problem this yr is the senior players have been shocking and the young guys are not up to scratch.

Something to do with left and right combinations I'd say.

Tago always sits next to Cleary on the right. Alamoti would have to swap to the left. The guy that did the most swapping last year was Brian To'o and he isn't fit to play.

I'm least critical of Talagi. Getting billed as a saviour when everyone already knows you can't blame the guy with 20 odd first grade games. Jack Cole likewise.

Our experienced players in Cleary and Edwards had some really poor moments with the ball. They needed to be better in the second half. Both of them and Talagi are coming off shoulder surgery in the off-season and its really starting to show. We need to build but unlike 2023-2024 we haven't scrapped out some early wins. Our worst start to a season in a long time and is going to bite us hard.

I said to my coffee mates this morning the same thing I said last year the Storm are no good things to win the comp. Someone out of left field could do it. Having a great win percentage means little FG titles is what is ALL about. IC 4 Bellyache 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it’s fairly safe to say we are already in the rebuild zone.

They’ve won 3 legitimate actually (under Bellamy in ‘12, ‘17 and ‘20) Don’t know what your point is though? The Storm even in their rare slumps have never been this inept for a 5 week period conceding 30 bloody points a game and losing each week. How does the loss of a few players change us from a perpetual heavyweight to the currently poorest performing team in the comp?

We have made five consecutive grand finals, won the last four, at what point given the impact of the salary cap did fans realise there was to be going to be a season where it was going to catch up with us.

Honestly the stuff I have read tonight is embarrassing, calling out even Yeo, Cleary and Edwards.

We were never going to win tonight, the momentum was with the Dolphin’s given our lack of form.

It’s hurts to read the nonsense around the criticism of players who have played such a big part of our success this past five seasons.

Some of you should hang your heads in shame, your response thus far has been pathetic, I on the other hand will stand by the boys and if we don’t make the eight, finish last so be it, I will put my trust in a rebuild which I have predicted anyway and look forward to the future.

We are f**ked then. A lot of the issue is his team selections and stupid set plays.

every week we waste tackles throwing it to the centre running against tge grain straight into a defender. There’s never anything happening. It leads to nothing.

The ridiculous scrum play of changing the half and it just drags out the scrum.

The kick off the scrum. Maybe that was a Nathan decision. But it looked like a coached play.

The best pur attsck has looked was when we had Blaize at 7 for Nathan and no structure. Nathan knows the set plays but none of the backs do. All the cup players are in the wring position.

Dude doesn't like facts if they don't suit his 'POSITIVE' outlook.

You’ve got some players in your roster, they are barely first grade.

Alomoti, how long are you going to put up with this idiot?

He is a stupid footballer. Ivan’s doing his best, but he’s an impulsive merkin.

There is not winning the comp and there is looking good to win the spoon.

Having it end in Prelim or something is an appropriate way to go out. I think all fans would be fine with that
