Kicking game needs to improve as well. Too many balls going dead in goal, and too few kicks down field finding open space. Fortunately our chase has been good, which has helped with that.

What do you guys think the team could be doing better?

Our long kicking game needs some work.

Far too many kicks going dead or straight to the winger/fullback.

Other than that I don't know that you could ask for much more at this stage of the year. Arthur has got almost everyone at or near best form which is remarkable.

I just think we lack a genuine game breaker in the forwards. We've got plenty in the backs though.

Pauli Pauli and Tanginoa will be game breakers for us eventually but they're still too young/raw at this stage. I'm hoping by years end they start to make an impact.

I was in the Taylor camp too for 2 reasons. 1) I felt he had unfinished business with us & 2) Arthur was here during the Kearney years, wasn't sold on him because of that.

I'm not sure i was ever shattered that we went with Arthur as there was good talk about him, but i did want Taylor.

You were always consistent though, you were adamant no Taylor and you look like a legend right now because Arthur looks the goods :thumb
Thank you, its about time you noticed.

Mossop, Kelepi and Lussick will improve our forwards.

wasnt too impressed with Kelepi in his 3 weeks in first grade, i know he was coming back from injury though.. how has he done in NSW cup the last couple of weeks?? And more importantly who do you drop to fit him in?

Lussick would be in for Allgood i'd say, and Mossop for Gower?

I wouldn't be dropping Gower, he has been playing really well. I think Lussick will come in for Allgood and the young forwards will get rotated through the spot that Kelepi and Pauli have played in.

Our forwards seem to lack off-loading ability. Gower threw a beauty to Norman but that is about it. We could be deadly from 2nd phase play if we could only get some going.

Agree, a hit and spin now again would work wonders, Mannah especially

I hope Peats can practise some kicking. It would be awesome if he could clear from dummy half

Agree on Gower but I thought Allgood did a good job as well on Saturday night.

Either way we should go stronger with Lussick in the team.

He's been playing Under 20's but I think should be playing NSW Cup.

Pretty sure I seen jwh pass the pass several times, is he a middle half or maybe a ball playing forward?

JWH takes on the defence every time he gets the ball. According to the stats Joe Paulo only runs the ball on about one third of his touches. That means two thirds of the time he is passing the ball before the line.

That's more of a half than any kind of forward, hey? Don't be fooled by the number 13. With three halves on the field, the 6 and 7 jerseys aren't enough. But I never once saw Paulo lock a scrum.
