Tui was ok - nothing special but does his job.

Boyd looked worse if anything. I keep waiting to see him do good stuff, but this week he wasn't even safe.

I'd give Kyle O'Donnell a run. Never been a fan till this year, but he is a bigger and stronger prop than Tui and looks to be developing into the prop we need. He'd be about the same as Cuthbo now, but getting better every game.

I think Bennett needs to start dropping a few blokes to get the message out that the performance isnt good enough.

Why not give KOD a run and see how he goes.

I think Bennett may just let loose some frustration in the press conference and on tuesdays team list.

I predict a debut on the bench next week.

And whats with Sau becoming Matai mark 2. Injured in every tackle, getting up slowly clutching at everything but his dick.

Cuthbo, Edwards, McKinnon, Hilder and Taia all need to go.

Cuthbo, Edwards. Yes.

Mckinnon just hanging in there, Taia needs to get a break, too many minutes and the opposite for Hilder not enough, to get momentum.
Last two weeks boring footy, I thought we had some great forward runners Uate, Darius,Jimmie,ETC but just not hqppening. Thought defence was good. BLOODY DROPPED BALLS ARE STARTING TO SHIT ME..

I didn't think Mullo was too bad. Pushed a few nothing passes and kicked a couple of non chased bombs but turned Morris around a lot with his kicking game and defended very well.

Certainly down on his recent form but not a return to Origin shell Mullen form.

I think most off contract players are going to stay just that. Wayne has seen enough as have we to know Beau Scott alone is not a fix.

when i first posted my post i was sort of thinking about his drop balls and poor options at times. he didn't look like he was 100% out there and didn't take the line on as often tonight. agree that kicking and defense were good.

House was prob our best tonight, but we need to get him the hell away from the flanks cos he is a dam hindrance in attack. He needs to wear the 13 and we need an 11 that can pass (cook?).

Aku had a few moments but he was our best forward tonight. Took so many hitups at set defence, i think he was just rooted.

The positive our try was exactly what we have been crying out for.... perfection.

Mullen was brave, he could hardly walk but still had a decent game. Bedsy had a gutsy game too.

I thought Nev looked good in D.

Zeb should of had a try but is both rocks and diamonds at the moment. I disagree with the majority and think we look weak in the back row. House is better central, eddy isn't a backrower (or that good), McKinnon is young, costigan is better in 13 (as is hilder, house, eddy). Scott is exactly what we need.

Meh time for next week

i'm getting sick of seeing us not challenge high balls, too. Uate is a serial offender in this department. Boyd isn't filling me with confidence when it goes up high, either. McManus, well, i love McManus.

Oh and we're are quickly returning to our Uate, McManus and Sau (Tahu also) making all the hard metres days with the forwards bludging. Dummy half runs after a dominant tackle, 20 metre restart, one out hit ups inside our 20 etc etc it's those 4 putting their body on the lien getting belted more and more each week.

Whether that is a Bennett tatic or just those 4 thinking "FFS, it's Tolar, Ciraldo and Kaufusi all over again, just give me the ball" i don't know.

What a painful game to watch. The halves were dealing with injuries, so were near non existant. Snowden played his quietest game in knights colours since he's been back. Sau was playing the remainder of the game injured. Our bench appeared 20kg lighter per player than theres.

The knights basically came down to Houston, Buderus, Mcmanus and an injured Uate trying to carry the rest of the team.

Hilder looked like he split his head open again. Is his head made of gladwrap or something?

You guys have finally seen what Snowden dished up for the Sharks last year hey? SLOW!!!!!!!!

IMO, the issue with the Knights is lack of aggression in the forwards.
Snowden works hard but is slow.
Houston is solid but not intimidating.
Edwards is still developing and doesn't seem fit.
Costigan is an unfit plodder.
Taia is borderline 1st grade at best.
Cuthbertson is LOL

Even Buderus doesn't offer much with the ball in hand. He is very good in defence though.

The backs seem to go OK. Darius needs to get more involved, but the rest are acceptable.

Compare it to the Dragons forwards who made a shit load of tough metres inside their 30m.

And i will go against the grain and say that was Boyd's most impressive game. He set up a try, but most importantly he seemed to give a shit. He carried the ball with some interest and generally seemed more involved. He was often the first one there in the kick chase.

Boyd was, again, the least of our worries tonight. yeah, he dropped a bomb, but as Rolla said - he looked like he gave a shit and got a bit more involved. the lack of power in the forwards concerned me far more.
