I reckon French was fit enough to play but they can now use the shoulder as part of the reason he won’t be in the side this week rather than flat out dropping him for being a weak merkin

Agreed! We need a decent effort out of the forwards though or we'll get more of the same, regardless of the backline. Evans and Pritchard need to show major effort.

So last week we played French and Tepai who were obviously injured, realised the error and rested them this week. Our reaction to this is bring back Hayne and Taka early from injury to what was previously advised.
