They started well and like you'd expect. The conditions just exaggerated the momentum effect the current game has. In normal weather they win kind of comfortably.

We needed that win last night so we dont come back to the pack.Good effort to come back in those conditions.I thought Tago was strong the guy who is under pressure now has to be brian T'oo he was terrible strips dropped balls not even making metres and cant score anymore.I think he needs to be dropped when mclean gets back and put alamoti on his wing.

Darwin at this time of the year was always going to be a tough slog.

We have 9 days until the next game, Hopefully we are able to get a good 3-4 days training in after recovery

This is the game I saw

I thought Penrith where in control but didnt look comfortable. Dolphins defense held them well in the 1st half all things considered.

2nd half Dolphins had the ball and looked far more explosive then the Panthers with it.
Nathan did well to keep to side composed to give them a chance for that try. He had put in a few poor kicks prior and his set up in regulation time on that set where they botched the chance was poor.

Edwards played tough and all but he had a shocker under the high ball. And so did Jenkins and Too. No idea why Too was even jumping for them. Was better off letting the Fins catch it then hammer them.

Overall Too was and has been average this season. His outputs not there currently.

Tago was very strong but his defence was not.

Blaize had a much better game then last week and B.Phillips played well when on. He made a tackle on the hammer when down by 4 that saved a try. And the game.

Herbies 2 x ball strip's where massive turning points in the game also.

I thought we hung on well given the conditions. Utterly oppressive and we managed to hang tight despite things really not going well for us.

Milkys record is just really cool. Hes had a fair bit to do with plenty of them too. Have we ever had a better winger in the air?

Good question. Luke Lewis use to be good in the air in his winger days. Took a high flying screamer in air against the Dogs in 03.
He was very acrobatic in his younger days.

And also what where you guys expecting ?
Penrith to go 25 rounds winning by 20+

There is a lot of work to do. Parra,Dolphins and Dogs have all put 20+ on you in your last 3/4 games. Definitely not as dominant as fans are thinking.

Perhaps we went a little too hard the first 5 rounds?

Guys, that was a great win, how anyone can see it differently is beyond me.

Wrestling back momentum like that, in those conditions is not easy. It’s a great sign.

best of all, it will give the coaching staff heaps to work on.

Shout out to Blaize he was huge, that pass for Milky’s second try was epic. He was good in defence as well.

I was pretty happy with Going as well, gave away a couple of ruck infringements, but I thought he bought a bit of steel to the defence.

Personally I love a win like that, the boys will feel like they earnt that one.

That is a great win.

Having lived in Darwin for several years, no amount of conditioning can really prepare you for the 30C 95% humidity, with a feels like 42C.
But but but it’s only 30 degrees. You sweat constantly. I used to take spare undies because a short walk anywhere and your gooch sweat will have soaked into your seat.

hopefully it doesn’t take too much out of us but for those not used to it - I’m sure we will be flat next weekend.

You are one of a kind, your negativity is second to none.

Mate, I call a spade a spade. He was very good in the 1st half, in the 2nd half he was very poor.

Even great players and legends have poor patches of form. For whatever reason he has had 2 very poor second halves in a row.

That attacking set we had a few mins before golden point was a perfect example. He panicked, was out of position, then threw a pass to nobody. Similar to last weeks 'harbour bridge' pass to nobody that went over the sideline.
