If next Tuesday the board unites, pays off Griffin, appoints interim coach and starts negotiations for new coach for 2024/2025 and recruitment manager so that planning can start for 2024, then we will start moving in the right direction. Otherwise, it will be the same story next week and week after until this is sorted out.
I don’t imagine they want to go to the Anzac game with a caretaker coach. I expect Hook gets one more Anzac Day then the tap on the shoulder. It remains to be seen whether he will want to coach the year out.

That lifting tackle by DeBelin would have been the dumbest thing any player in all clubs would have done. It was brainless and gave the Raiders the lead after they subsequently scored a converted try after that dumbest tackle. Then Bird tackles the Raiders kicker off the ground and Croker kicks the penalty goal. Those two thing plus the ref not calling held quick enough so that Hudson Young could reef the ball out of Musgrove's clutches to run at full pelt to score the try just finished off what was a game that we should have and could have won.

The Game has gone to the dogs.
The Bird one was soft as they come.
The opp was allowed to lie on us and no six agains.

Correct Dave, it just shows the lack of discipline that has been ingrained into the side, unfortunately that comes from the coaching staff, I sympathize with them because the morons on the field are doing it. How many dramas has Victor Radley had but would we say Robbo is a shit coach, I think not.

Lets not forget another dumb play and that was hook blowing an interchange on mbye at start of play..that effectively buggered up our ability to rotate players
Even though Hook may not have been totally responsible for that , the buck stops with him unfortunately, and you possibly could put down that the stuffed up rotation ultimately cost us the game.

I just thought to add a bit more. Our attack on the opposition tryline is abysmal. Too flat, lucky if there's a lead runner, robotic and easy to read. Besides that is just crash play and on the last don't bother to even try to grubber or bomb. To me it shows we have given up and are happy just to give the ball back.
Coming off our tryline, it's one out or scoot with no decoys or one at most. So easily read. The opposition can just stack and create a slow ruck. When we make metres it's because of speed or a missed tackle. It is so boring to watch and surely the players would be bored doing it. There's no energy about what they do.

In defence their line is just happy to wait for the attack to come to them and we are so slow to get back the 10. There is usually never numbers in a tackle so there's more often than not a quick ruck. We compress badly especially on the opposition end. Luckily the Raiders are a team that don't hit the edges quickly from 2 passes off the middle like this season's trend. Our interchanges more often than not are senseless. We leave gassed players out there who get exposed and exploited.

We don't look fit. We don't look happy playing rugby league and it was really sad to see.

I was at the leagues club today. The tally showed there are around 13,700 members this year. There are roughly around 20,000 each year. That’s how shit this club is. So many disillusioned supporters including myself who don’t want to spend good $$$ to watch these bunch of dickheads lose week in and week out
2017 19,181
2018 21,197
2019 21,028
2020 15,272
2021 18,287
2022 20,227

Not exactly a positive trend :(

No shape, no variation in attack. It's like watching under 10's. There's absolutely no plan especially in the opposition 10. It's just a matter of "who wants a go with the ball?", before they run around aimlessly and get tackled where they received the ball eventually. Then Lawrie will take a settler, play the ball slowly, followed by slow service from Mbye, which sees the opposition in the first receivers face as soon as they get the ball. Next play is give it to the big kid Moses Suli and see if he can barge his way over on the last. Genuinely painful to watch.

Totally agree, we have had this for the last 3 years. He has to go and go very soon.

"Dragons burning an interchange before kick-off after Moses Mbye ran onto the field instead of Jacob Liddle, which wasn't official in the team lists pre-game".
Says it all
Ben Haran who sits on the sideline. Step down now from your post. It might not of been your fault but you oversee all this.
This burning an interchange before the kick off and our last play from Hunt sums up why we are so mediocre and struggling since Bennett left in 2011.

How hard is it to get the team list right??? And how hard would it be to get the last play right? Even a bomb would've been a better option??

That 9 rotation actually cost us 3 interchanges. 1 before the game, then 1 when Liddle came on, then another when Mbye came back on. We can’t afford 3 interchanges for dummy half.

or even a grubber behind the defence into the ingoal
