The Nikorima no try was oh so close!
Its not that they gave us little opportunity, we continually gave it away.Brisbane too good in the second half. Gave Souths very little opportunity from 40-65 and when we finally got one, we blew it and the pressure was back on.
Great effort in the last 10 and probably should've snatched it but it wasn't to be. Regroup and on to Newcastle next week.
Sam has nothing to answer for. The 17 out there tonight have a lot to think about though. Sam needs to play like he does and don’t change. The WORST thing that can happen is Sam holds back.Horrible second half. Just some really stupid play. In almost consecutive sets, Clark lost it in a one on one, Cook threw it to them and Kennar couldn’t find the ground. That’s 3 extra sets and a whole f**kload of momentum we just handed them in the early part of the 2nd half.
Sam has a lot to answer for. His stupidity in an easily won game probably just cost us a win. I hope he feels like shit tonight, bcause with him out there we are 5-3 and knocking on the door of the top 4.
I think everyone needs to calm down and take a few deep breaths. Although we lost the game our performance was by no means bad. Yes, we made a few errors in the second half but that is normal given that the game was highly physical and we were out on our feet. What beat us tonight was fatigue; the Broncos produced arguably a perfect half of footy to beat us and that is something we can take heart from. We are making teams work really hard to beat us and that is the most important thing to do when you want to reestablish yourself as a force to be reckoned with in the competition.Horrible second half. Rubbish. 1 game in 5 weeks because of his aggression. How about staying on the park.Sam has nothing to answer for. The 17 out there tonight have a lot to think about though. Sam needs to play like he does and don’t change. The WORST thing that can happen is Sam holds back.
It was more than a few errors. It was 3 in a row and then Cody ran it dead without anyone within 5 metres of him. Not to mention George running out of the line at Milford leading to a line break and Kennar finishing it off by being lazy and letting the Broncos in.I think everyone needs to calm down and take a few deep breaths. In saying that, I still have a few concerns about the squad's fitness levels. I've felt all season, even in the games that we've won, that we've faded badly coming down the home stretch. I think this could be something that Seibold hasn't put as much an emphasis on as his predecessor. Under Madge I thought we looked fitter but he may have overworked the players. Seibold, from what I have seen so far, tends to focus on the technical aspects of the game, which is probably a good thing given our deficiencies in defence over the last few years.
Overall though, if you had offered me the start that we have made to the season before a ball was kicked, I would have bitten your hand off. We have been highly competitive in every game we have played and quite a few of the games we have lost could quite easily have been wins.
When you are 24 in front with 15 minutes left you dont need to take a blokes head off and spend ANOTHER two weeks on the sidelines. Controlled aggression is important, not the rubbish Sam put on display last weekend.Sam has nothing to answer for. The 17 out there tonight have a lot to think about though. Ridiculous comment. So you want Sam playing 70% aggressive because he might cause a penalty,When you are 24 in front with 15 minutes left you dont need to take a blokes head off and spend ANOTHER two weeks on the sidelines. I want Sam to not spend 50% of the season suspended. Are you happy with that? If all he did was cause penalties, I couldn’t care less. And when we are 24 in front with 15 to go, if playing 70% means he’s there the following 2 weeks, then f**k yes I want him to play 70% at that moment. You think he looks better in a suit or in a jersey?Ridiculous comment. So you want Sam playing 70% aggressive because he might cause a penalty,
