Well at least I know now what the latest ploy is - 2or more in the tackle one grabbing the ball then when he can strip it he tells the rest to let go and claims a one on one strip. Bellamy and Stuart are using it well.
Should have never changed that rule.

Everytime we had momentum a penalty killedit. Whether we had the ball or they did.

We were ontop defensively. Dumb penalty. They score.

We get momentum in attack. Raiders just lay on us til momentum has died and even with the penalty we are worse off as momentum is gone.

Throw in poor handling at bad times andvwe aren't close. But hey... take Yeo, Kikau and MWZ out and i think we are looking good bext week.

It's tragic... but MWZ is a reserve grader who is also our best NRL winger. Mansour is a joke these days and DWZ is required elsewhere. Yeo and Kikau are our only NRL second rowers. We're going to look back on this game fondly with how bad shit will get nextweek.

Quickly reading through the last half a dozen pages someone mentioned lack of effort. There was no lack of effort. Certainly lack lot’s of other things you need to be an effective footy side but the effort was there.

When you have momentum and field position it is crucial to capitalise and score points but as we have demonstrated time and time again in recent years our attack inside our opponents 20 metre zone is awful.

There will be no finals footy in 2019 but still an opportunity for us to try things, experiment, change things up a bit and more importantly make changes to the roster that Ivan thinks are necessary going forward. He is our coach for the next couple of seasons at least so he at the very least needs to be given the opportunity of building his top 30.

The strip rule was a bad change.
I bet we are the first team in years that has had a try disallowed because the player was a metre in front of the play the ball.
The refs didn’t cost us the game but they don’t make it easy. Maloney is totally frustrated by them.
When you are down on form nothing ever seems to go your way. The effort is there, but the execution, skill and discipline seems to have deserted quite a few of the team. Now injuries are causing concern.
Still I have supported them for five decades so I’m not going to stop now!

Who was coach last time we didn’t play finals?

Depends what you class lack of effort. Every line break there was no support it was like waiting for others to do it. No bodies on the line in defence

I think that there is disquiet in the team. Maloney, 2-3 weeks ago came across as really pissed off with the team. Before that he was just flapping the lips, but this time he sounded more than a little frustrated. Probably doesn't like Cleary ball....
