Round 8 v Eels

Here we go again.

Looks like Carty might actually play this weekend but Fish might miss out with a shoulder injury.

Naturally I would assume us down a back rower and one coming back from injury it would make sense to have CHN in the team to balance out the minutes and the forwards. But given the trend Griffin will probably have Hiku in there instead.

Griffin isn't going to change anything didn't you hear him at the press conference, we learnt a lot on sunday. We are still building you know. At this rate we will have a house ready to go in another 5 years.

Being serious tho if Carty is back I'd seriously consider putting him in the halves and moving TMM to the bench out of pure desperation.

I can see Griffin dropping someone like Blake and moving Hiku into the starting line up. I expect this week to have even more questionable team selections.

If TMM is moved to the bench or dropped, it needs to be for Moylan at 5/8th. He's a shit fullback. It's as simple as that. The amount of tries scored because of his lack of urgency, poor positioning or piss weak last line of defence must be higher than against any other team.

His strengths are playmaking. His weaknesses are pretty much all the areas you need a fullback to shine in. Griffin needs to pull his head out of his ass and make this move. Moylans future was always in the halves, and he's now at the point where he's not only showing a weakness here and there at fullback, he's flat out a liability.

Obviously it won't happen. I expect Griffin will f**k the team up even worse. Giving the wrong players a promotion. He will probably drop Yeo, DWZ and Blake for actually having a crack last week.

Team is likely to change on game day. Cartwright should come in for JFH. I only hope there are more changes because you can't simply name the same team that were so inept in attack last week and hope they will improve unless something changes in the way they train or are coached.

Interestedly 3 of our best games this year the 2 wins and the narrow loss to the chooks. Have one thing in common.
Kikau & Akauola both came off the bench together. The games they don't play together we seem to lose poorly.

Good pick up mate. No surprises given their punch off the bench.

Our pack gets destroyed... Griffin sticks with it and makes Hiku and Browne part of the 17.

This f**kwit has ruined what should have been a top 4 season for us. Fans have to watch the coach run this club into the ground and f**k up what should have been our best season in over a decade.

Anyone who is happy to accept this shit is seriously more f**ked up then the coach. We have a roster capable of threatening for the premiership and instead will be lucky to avoid the spoon.

TBH but 2 of those 3 games were against 2 of the worst teams in the comp.

But the point is still valid

Thats why I brought it up. It wouldn't have changed the results in the games they didn't play together that we lost poorly. But it does highlight some of the underperformers in the pack when they are both not there.
