I hate to say it gents , buuut I have a very bad feeling about this game . All the omens are pointing to a tigpie win , just my gut feeling nothing more - keep your dollars in your wallet .

The Dragons mindset hasn’t been the best the last could weeks , they have played well in patches , but unfortunately never looked in command of the match . Hopefully Griffin has had a good long talk to the boys to get their minds back onto the job .

Hopefully my gut feeling is nothing more then an upset stomach caused by those couple of scotch & drys I had and the boys come out on top .
Yeah the more losses a team has had the scarier the proposition. Every loss is another loss closer to a win. In saying that we also would be pretty keen for a win. If we start like we ended the Anzac game we should win.

We look lethargic for the better part of a game lately. Looks like a fitness thing. Not an effort thing.

There's a bit of a pattern in the game right now where the better teams match or tussle with their opposition initially and then in the second half power on, romping home with superior fitness and energy, more than anything.

Both Tigers and us have been lacking this ability. I have a feeling we might get the two points in a tight one just with the home ground advantage, crowd might give us a push.

One cannot underestimate the value of ball control as any extra defence is draining our battery like a 7 year old iPhone.

people have to remember now is not the time to be at your peak, fitness and game wise.
What you must judge the team on is in how they lose.
We have really only played 2 below average halves of football.
Round 1 1st half. Round 7 2nd half. Not too bad
Tigers have had plenty of poor halves
Dragons to win at home

Thought the sense of occasion got to our blokes on Anzac Day and we pushed the boundaries too much. Hope we just hold the ball more and settle into a rhythm and we should go okay. We can play tough and hopefully the return of McCullough Hunt combination will settle things down a bit and afford us to be a bit more selective in attack.

St George Illawarra coach Anthony Griffin has amended his squad to 19 ahead of the Dragons' Round 8 clash against the Wests Tigers at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday, May 2.

Ben Hunt (leg) has been named to return at halfback after missing the previous four games for the Dragons. Poasa Faamausili and Adam Clune are the players to drop out of Tuesday's initial 21-man squad.

Jordan Pereira and Mikaele Ravalawa have been suspended following the Dragons' last start loss to the Sydney Roosters on Anzac Day. Max Feagai has been named for his first NRL game of season 2021, while Jack Bird and Cody Ramsey return to the centres and wing respectively as a result.

Billy Burns and Josh Kerr have swapped positions as far as the back row and interchange is concerned.

Grand final-bound SG Ball halfback and NRL development player Junior Amone remains in the Dragons' 19 otherwise.

The Knock Out Effect Cup Dragons will act as a curtain-raiser when they tackle Western Suburbs Magpies at 1:40pm.
