Then compare the halves and forwards..anyway it wouldn't matter ..........give Bennett our current side and they wouldn't be making basic mistakes because he drills them with the fundamentals at training...of course if your happy with McGregor then you are entitled to your opinion...

You seem to know exactly what happens at training. How do you know he isn't drilling them.

Dragons were making alot of basic errors at the last half of 2011.

The story you just told yourself that drilling = no mistakes. We are making errors = Mary is not drilling this.

It's flawed!

People have already made there minds up about Mary 100%...whatever happens they'll see through the frame of 'mary is the problem'. He'll always look like the problem that way.

Yep Cleary 1st year since coming back , Mary 7 years , still finding his feet ......
First year since coming back?

Look at clearys overall coaching record over the years. Trust me, he is not a hot shot coach like a lot of ppl here think

Good point..maybe we should make the game 38 mins long ..reduce the field to 98 metres...well said

No that would stupid, a better idea:

First grade players take more responsibility for tackling opposition players out of dummy half.

Also, people open up their perspective to see that a coach isn't solely responsible for stupid basic errors that players make in first grade.

Do you actually watch any other games ?...Watch Storm..Roosters...we are so far away from those standards...

I get it..You Rate Mary...good luck to you..you are entitled to your opinion..have a good evening.

Mate I never said he was , but either is our coach , really had enough of him . He won't win us a Premiership even with the the extra 2 years ... Do you honestly think a Premiership with Mary ?

I’ll tell you what happened, Ill discipline from players who are not made accountable and keep getting picked every week! That is 100% up to the coach.
2 errors and 1 penalty from Zac, was first game starting. Mixed bag from him but enough good stuff to keep starting for mine.
2 errors 0 penalties Rava, still too many errors fair enough, but he was pretty good otherwise.
JP 0 errors 1 penalty, pretty unlucky to get binned I reckon
1 penalty 0 errors each from Hunt, Norman, Dufty, Lawrie
1 error each Sims and Frizz
1 error and 1 penalty from Host
And 2 penalties from Cam.
Just curious who should be dropped? The most costly discipline stuff was probably from McInnes and Lomax.
The only convincing case for dropping is still Latimore I reckon, and his problem ain’t discipline it’s being rubbish.

But objectively speaking. What percentage of the responsibility lies with the coach in your eyes.??
10%, 50%, 80%?.
It's simplified when one man selects the team, provides the game plan and half time direction and is running messages out to his troops all throughout the game.

Around the 50% mark.

What wouldve probably happened if captain McInnes implements basic defence on his line instead of allowing the parra hooker to easily score. Perhaps we hope them out that set.

Go into half time at 14-0.

Have the possibility to go up 20-0 with a try after half time with out confidence up.

NO ONE was complaining about Mary's tactics or game plan at 14-0. He was not in anyone's minds. But the "players" start making BASIC errors and let parra get the ascendacy, throw in a couple of key injuries, and it's a completely different game.

If Mary is responsible for every mistake the players make, but is hardly responsible for any of the great things the players did then that's a witch hunt.

People here say that the players are making basic errors because Mary isn't drilling them at training.
I guarantee when we scored that 90m try today with great offloads and exciting NO ONE said 'wow, hats off to Marys coaching on that one'.

Whenever players are struggling and making mistakes all attention and blame goes to Mary.

People's minds are ALREADY made up and they have confirmation bias using everything that happens to take another dig

Disagree re Hunt I know you have a bent against him but he was good today you target one kick that unluckily went dead and ignore the other kicks he did that pinned them down
Out forwards are good but losing Tyson for most of the game and leaving Latimore on didn’t help
Look at the loss of Norman and the amount of possession we had in the second half as balanced view rather than sinking the boot in
It wasn’t the kick that went dead that was the issue it was the bomb down the fb’s throat when we had no pressure from defence and they scored.
If you keep kicking to fb’s on the full with no defence in his face you are asking for trouble and Hunt does it many times over
You say our forwards are good but the Eels rolled through them easily far too often and we are getting dominated and not making ground anywhere near as easily
You see my comments as sinking the boot in I see them as being insightful if you want the team to be more of a threat.
Hunt was purchased to be the defining difference in the halves and to resolve the issues of our attack and I don’t believe he has done that
I hunk the majority of the issues facing is in coaching but elite players IMO can’t be
totally absolved

No you don't get it. Parhaps you think I rate Mary up there with Bellamy? I don't. Not even close.

But I get that most Mary haters seem to think he should take majority of blame for poor playing on the field...even players making poor basic errors.

Today's defence errors...the basic ones were embarrassing.

Not playing the ball properly. God! People will hang blame on Mary's head for this stuff. It's unbelievable.

A lot people need to admit they want Mary gone and they will use EVERY ounce of real or imagined proof to justify it

Not with our current backs and not with roosters and storm.

No available coach out there has more coaching ability than Mary at the moment

To me the players seem to be lacking in energy, even in the first half when we were in front 14-0. In the second half line speed became non existent and there seemed to be no structure in defence or attack. To me there seemed to be no 'plan'.
And no coach

Perhaps we should accept that Parra outplayed us today.

They wanted the win more than we did.

Our team simply ran out of gas as we made error after error providing Parra with prime field position. We were punished by an enthusiastic side playing at home with passion and determination.

Their completion rate for much of the second half was near perfect.

We lost Frizell early.

Losing Norman was too big a hurdle for us to overcome.

Our defence in the middle whilst Lats and Luc were on the field was below par.

They have 2 first class wingers who are at least a couple of levels better than ours.

The game was another wake-up call for the players, coaches and supporters that our team is mid table at best.

The sun will rise again tomorrow morning.

Absolutely you're entitled to them. I respect others opinions.

Tbh, the dragons have been given way more credit this ueae than hey deserve. We were very lucky against Brisbane, sloppy against the Knights and luckily got out of it, good against the dogs, just beat manly in a scrappy one, and the roosters were off their standards last week.

We'll be lucky to win 2 of our next 4
