Regarding the conditions, i dont know if that would affect them a week later but im certain its a longer recovery time from a standard night game in sydney and that affects the preparation this week. You get particularly sore after exercise when you do something your body is not used to doing, its not just about how intense your exercise was, and i think none of those guys are used to that effort in that kindve humidity, it wouldve taken a toll. But i dont know really if its something the coaches can or cant deal with by taking it easy this week but we have some good depth that could rotate through the bench so i wouldnt mind if they give someone a rest.

Seems to be a lot of panic here for a team thats only lost 1 game....

We have 2 injuries
Kenny - to be replaced by Lussick
Martin - to be replaced by Henry
Cogger the #14 on the bench

No need to rest anyone - we have byes coming up for that.

SOO players (probably only Yeo, Cleary, Too and maybe Edwards) will be rested through reduced training as per the last few years.
We need to rest mate.. the toll on Friday needs at least a week or it's going to roll over to other weeks and the chance of injury increase.

I think the point is to avoid dehydration.

We aren’t talking about medical emergencies.

Anyways, I’m only going by the advice provided by to me by trusted experts, I’m not looking for an argument over it.
Plus the smoke that's chemical like in the past week in Penrith has sent many in hospital... I was one of them complaining about dizziness and stomach pains

McLean back. Tago on the bench.
Patea among the reserves.

Henry not named anywhere. Must be injured again?

Knights have named Francis Manuleleua I was really disappointed when the Knights poached him from us the talent was obvious even allowing he had injury issues in his couple of years with us. I think he could be something special.

He was great last week when he came on. I'm sorry we let him slip away too.

I think the biggest concern for me from the last two games has been thru the middle. When momentum was against us we didn’t seem able to stop our opposition making over 60 metres on a set. Despite coming back from the difficult away game in Darwin I am hoping our forwards measure up better this weekend

Need a bench that provides the following:
Cogger - Half and Hooker cover
Henry/Patea - Front Row Impact - Missing their size and aggression
Sorro - Middle and Edge Cover - Going well as a middle due to leg speed
Tago - Backline and Edge Cover
Phillips - Middle
Scott - Hooker

Going - Not up to First Grade standard, if Henry is injured then Patea's size, impact and point of difference is needed on the bench. Cannot run Cogger and Lussick at the same time, the smaller line-up is the time period in games that oppositions seem to make the most progress against us. Love Lindsay Smith but needs to step up, Moses, Garner, Yeo, Papali'i carrying forwards. Phillips is great but he can be used to rest different players and with injuries will play plenty throughout the season. Tago playing edge when fatigue into the game with his footwork and line running and having him defend one in gives that side plenty of punch. Too good not to be playing First Grade.

I think this is going to be a really tough game.

we are going to the game and wife and I have a 100% strike rate on our visits there so hoping that continues on Sunday.

Teams are going to be travelling to Port Moresby every other week in a few years.
Not too bad in June to August but bad in the first 10 rounds for sure. There's going to be a lot said about who gets to go up there in the early season. Maybe the club could play its home games all in the winter months when humidity is lower.

Smith needs to play with far more aggression. Simply making his tackles isn't enough

Im not apportioning blame i think collectively we aren’t dominating like we have become used too and that is a concern. We need Henry back fit and well in my opinion.
