Does anyone seriously think our pack is capable of matching the Sharks'?

No but who should come into the team ?

Woods, Sue and Pettybourne offer us our best chance of matching them up front - these 3 have been good for us this year. Fulton should work hard. BMM might actually play to his ability. Maybe Thompson will come on and play tough like he did his first game back.

I've basically given up on Blair but maybe he will put in a performance worthy of his pay grade.

I'd swap Blair for Thomo,Buchanan and Spence provide little impact although they do try,out wide we have the usual suspects Reddy and Utai ...enough said.

I like the limited amount of Sue that I have seen. Ava should be there as well, maybe Buchanan could've done with a break before burn out completely sets in and Ava played in his place.

P.S. even tough we looked like crap last week, we could be a sneaky show in this game. Rebound off a thrashing

This theory is flawed in our case. A thrashing is usually the result of a capable team putting in a bad performance. At the moment we are not capable, especially defensively.

Spence has been at the club since 1973, he was never of first grade standard. We have injuries, injuries and more injuries - now he is our starting lock. Geez Louise.

Even I was waiting for a call from WT, I could be a great grandstand side winger.

Ava should be there, Sue should replace Blair in the side and Groat should replace Spence.

This is the game where Woods or Farah gets poleaxed and misses a few weeks to injury trying to carry the niff nuff flick passer IMHO

Maybe for marketing purposes, Benji has demanded the 6 on his back, that's Benji's marketing:evil:

Curtis to feed the scrum and that's the role of the 7 and Benji to be 1st receiver from a scrum, the role of the 6, that's the only thing I can think of

Be happy if they played left and right side and both were 1st receiver but that can't happen as you'd have Fulton and Farah wanting to be 1st receiver.

Perhaps Potter and the rest of the coaching staff should sit with Farah, Siro, Marshall, Brooks and Anasta and watch video's of Cronk and Thurston and how they play the 6 & 7 roles. Then look at combinations, Manly, Chooks, Souths, Bronco's, Bulldogs, Canberra, etc, they might all be surprised.

It seems to be all about Benji...what he wants he gets, plus the salary cap restrictions dont help us when your only option now is to move the deck chairs again.

So true, they are still trying to play these hybrid positions Sheens invented,a no9 that is a 6 and 7 as well,a no 6 who does what he wants when he likes. They have to play a very structured game where all players have very traditional responsibilities .At present their is no structure or cohesion and a lot of effort is been wasted

That was awful. They looked unfit and undisciplined. Cronulla just had to wait for the second half when the tigers ran out of puff and then run right through them. Ragged defence line is the giveaway. Tedesco looks promising. Can't believe we let Fifita go.

Gotta feel for Farah, I'm sure I saw him roll his eyes in disgust on more than one occasion. Big issues at the Tigers.

Farah and Woods seemed to be the only ones who put in 200% every week and have almost become their own clique.

See early in the game last night, Woods got fired up after a good tackle forced the Sharks to turn the ball over. Woods ran to Farah all pumped up and tried to get him fired up as well.

A Tale of two halves

Benji first half - 30 touches - 1 run for 7 metres - 0 opportunities created (0 try assists and 0 line break assists)
Benji second half - 15 touches - 2 runs from first receiver for 21 metres - 0 opportunities created again

I don't think Farah was ignoring Benji, I think he was trying to get Sironen involved more and prevent Benji from isolating Sironen.

Benji had 45 touches for the match and Sironen had 41.

Last week Sironen had just 24 touches, Benji had 38

All of the forwards looked good early, I thought they started like they did on the Storm game. Then, the 1st interchange they just appeared to drop off.

Simona started well also and appeared to me, that he was running off the passion of the forwards.
