What game were you watching? I was watching Storm vs Panthers. If Luai picks up his game. He was disgraceful
He split the markers three times and had no halves chasing through. That’s under 18’s shit.
Nathan and Jerome know they missed the opportunities because they both apologised to him.
You can disagree all you like, it’s just fundamentally poor from our halves. It’s simple as that.
He hasn't impacted a game in a LONG timeWhat game were you watching? I was watching Storm vs Panthers.
Agree with you but there’s no genuine impact from the bench with what’s available.I’d have Sorro starting over Garner
He was very impressive after so long outThe burn Tiny put on Warbrick for the no-try was something I haven't seen a Penrith player do in a while.

Way before getting hurt last year
I can't pinpoint why he's not being effective. The easy answer is well he used to have Kikau attracting 2 or 3 defenders.....2023 was his worst year in the last 4. Maybe 2024 will be a continuation? Injury hasn't helped but if he doesn't improve substantially that will put a dent in our 2024 hopes and will relegate Tigers to laughing stocks till the end of the decade.

Excellent postI saw way more positives than negatives in that performance.
I said this two years ago and still maintain this today. As long as a Penrith side gives a shit about their defence and doesn't let in soft efforts, they will always be right in the business end. Tonight's defence was very good for round one.
While the attack was not great, I put that down to great Melb d and not quite clicking Penrith offence...but they had a go.
A lot of talk about Penrith missing Chrichton....I don't think that will be the case. Injuries permitting, Tago and May will do the job there this year. They may not have Chrichton's x factor......but both are good workers, young and keen.
I think Sommerton will eventually get into that Penrith rotation at the expense of Luke. He is younger and has room to learn and improve.
I have basically one issue with Penrith and their ability to replace and cover the hole for. Im just not seeing where that third prop impact will come from. nI just think that while Lindsay Smith is honest.....I don't think he can give that same impact that Leniu did. I think Penrith need to find someone else in that system who can provide that oompf factor that Leniu did.
No he doesn't
Nobody in here is questioning our defence, and that is a good thing.
One thing though - we still suck Donkeys Balls at contesting short kick offs/line drop outs.
I am still worried that at some point better teams will continually expose our short outside backs in particular To'o and Turuva. I was genuinely shocked how well they held up last year at diffusing bombs.
I wonder if Daine Laurie is an option at 6 yet? The times he played 6 for the Tigers last year he had some spark and looked okay. Probably defense not up to scratch.
I feel centres are actually more important at defending short kicksNobody in here is questioning our defence, and that is a good thing.

Garner is another workman like player to add to the Smith’s Henry’s Eisenhuth’s. So unless Lisati is ready for the big jump, or the turning Alamoti into an impact forward project is fast tracked then Sorensen is the only bloke that can do that job.
Also some perspective here, the Panthers lads have played more accumulative footy than another other group of players anywhere. You include Finals, Origins, WC and WCC, that’s a lot of footy games played by the main 5-7 players in the side. It’s no surprise these blokes looked out of sort in attack, as off season was probably defence orientated and so it should be. Attack will come.
How many times does Ivan need to see Huth fail playing prop? It's a real worryThat is the issue too many workmen in the pack especially.
