How many times does Ivan need to see Huth fail playing prop? It's a real worry

Look at our draw before our bye.

Anywhere from 4-1 to 0-5 is possible, the good teams have us worked out. So in a way the 0-5 version is a good thing. so we get changes to go on a run

Everyone has us worked out but if we hold the ball we still win

It was 11-14 errors. So they were worse

We had 200 more running metres but 100 less post contact.

That includes the 3 line breaks we had to their 1.

So I am not so sure. If you rush in to pressure the halves we fall to pieces. Especially the bench just running lines, there was footwork an offload or something then you can get the line moving.

We spread it and were outnumbered because of the lack of speed doing it

Disappointing that there’s no urgency or interest in starting the season well for a team that’s won the last 3 GF’s. We look worse than at the start of last season.

People will say Storm defended great but they can’t be that great FFS we should have been able to score a try or two but simply no creativity or urgency for most of the game and when there was urgency late in the game there was no composure.
I am disappointed with the performance and how clunky we looked, but surely you can’t fault the urgency or interest.

Your bias against Soni Luke is pretty pathetic mate. Both hookers looked pretty good tonight. Soni created at least three chances that Nathan and Jerome both weren’t switched onto.

No one really listens to you because you’re so predictable. It’s actually laughable.
Luke doesn't play the same game as his teammates do. He's out there doing what he wants, not following a game plan. Some of the stuff he does looks good, but ultimately it's at the expense of the team.

I want to like him because he has a bit of spark, but he thinks it's his team and everyone should follow his lead. Kicking over sideline from dummy half, running himself and kicking in goal etc. He has ability, but he tries too hard IMO. This is Nathans team, and yet Luke will completely ignore him in a set.

My Wife actually laughed at me when I was cussing Eisenhuth. She said, 'You really don't like him, do you?"

My reply was; "Sort of. He can actually be pretty decent. The problem with him is that he is only good when he is replacing Yeo as the 13. Other than that, he is very ordinary, so it's either replace Yeo or nothing."

How does the video ref claim the player makes a defensive decision but still says no try?
They scored one try off a kick. No look at offside?
I think the Bellamy legendary round 1 streak was on the officials minds more than the game that was being played.
Put Sorro and Lenny in and it is no contest.
I listened to the ABC coverage as the internet here in China was shit, and they didn’t agree with the no try, and also thought Penrith were unlucky in other decisions.
We can and will improve. They won’t.

I picked Melbourne to win on the punt so I'm cheering. Bunch of cheats but tonight I don't care.

Clunky as per last year. Also do accept that Melbourne are a quality team with a great coach. As if they are going to keep losing to us. Sooner or later we would get done and it was tonight. They competed for 80 and looked the better side.

Yeo was immense. Played a great game.

Tweak the bench next week. Tell our spine to stop sniffing their own farts. We will be sweet.

Nathan and Jerome were both out of position all night, I really don’t see how that is the Hookers fault.

It even cost us a try.

The difference was that Summo just passed it anyway and didn’t try to correct it.

I maintain that both the hookers were quite good and the issues lay with the halves.

Your praise of Luke is becoming laughable at this point. Do you really think you’re right and everybody else is wrong about this, or is it some sort of attempt to save face after the egregious “will be better than Api” call?

Either way, please give it a rest. Take the L, admit you were wrong and move on.

A few facts here.

Is saying that something wasn’t a players fault really praise?

Kenny and Summo are who I think are our best hookers.

It was Kevin Kingston who told me that the club thought he would be as good as Api in attack. It was the pelicans on here that blew that up into “I love Soni” which I still find ridiculous.

If I “Love” anyone, it would be Summo who I coached for two seasons before he moved up to the Panthers full time.

I don’t think Luke was too bad, he at least gave us some unpredictability with the ball which we badly need. Even if he doesn’t know what the f**k he is going to do next himself.

Overall not too concerned. Melbourne were awesome in defence and sometimes you just need to give credit.

We definitely need an impact forward, someone who’s there for a good time not a long time.

People shit on Barrett but he’s been the only attacking coach who has ever got us humming.

I’m not concerned. Our defence looked solid.

Our halves looked completely lost. They will fix that up.

Tiny looked really good, I’d give him a wrap as well as Marto.

I thought there was plenty to like in that performance. Kenny back in fixes a few problems. Bench impact is my only real concern, the rest of the issues will sort themselves out.

May was fantastic, get him some longer studs though.
