One thing though - we still suck Donkeys Balls at contesting short kick offs/line drop outs.
I nearly spat out my drink when Shouty Dan said we were great at diffusing them.

How many times does Ivan need to see Huth fail playing prop? It's a real worry
Everyone has us worked out but if we hold the ball we still winLook at our draw before our bye.
Anywhere from 4-1 to 0-5 is possible, the good teams have us worked out. So in a way the 0-5 version is a good thing. so we get changes to go on a run

I am disappointed with the performance and how clunky we looked, but surely you can’t fault the urgency or interest.Disappointing that there’s no urgency or interest in starting the season well for a team that’s won the last 3 GF’s. We look worse than at the start of last season.
People will say Storm defended great but they can’t be that great FFS we should have been able to score a try or two but simply no creativity or urgency for most of the game and when there was urgency late in the game there was no composure.
Luke doesn't play the same game as his teammates do. He's out there doing what he wants, not following a game plan. Some of the stuff he does looks good, but ultimately it's at the expense of the team.Your bias against Soni Luke is pretty pathetic mate. Both hookers looked pretty good tonight. Soni created at least three chances that Nathan and Jerome both weren’t switched onto.
No one really listens to you because you’re so predictable. It’s actually laughable.

Nathan and Jerome were both out of position all night, I really don’t see how that is the Hookers fault.Luke doesn't play the same game as his teammates do. I want to like him because he has a bit of spark, but he thinks it's his team and everyone should follow his lead. Kicking over sideline from dummy half, running himself and kicking in goal etc. He has ability, but he tries too hard IMO. This is Nathans team, and yet Luke will completely ignore him in a set.
Your praise of Luke is becoming laughable at this point. Do you really think you’re right and everybody else is wrong about this, or is it some sort of attempt to save face after the egregious “will be better than Api” call?Nathan and Jerome were both out of position all night, I really don’t see how that is the Hookers fault.
It even cost us a try.
The difference was that Summo just passed it anyway and didn’t try to correct it.
I maintain that both the hookers were quite good and the issues lay with the halves.

Either way, please give it a rest. Take the L, admit you were wrong and move on.
I’m not concerned. Our defence looked solid.I don’t think Luke was too bad, he at least gave us some unpredictability with the ball which we badly need. Even if he doesn’t know what the f**k he is going to do next himself.
Overall not too concerned. Melbourne were awesome in defence and sometimes you just need to give credit.
We definitely need an impact forward, someone who’s there for a good time not a long time.
People shit on Barrett but he’s been the only attacking coach who has ever got us humming.
