You're not getting it.

Some Panthers fans said we had poor depth. It's being proven wrong is what @franklin2323 is saying. He's correct.

It proved we can win without Cleary
Another question is who is backup fullback.. Will get to try someone new or several ones new ones over the next month. So ticks another box off

Meanwhile Momorovski is looking very good

Staines is getting there. JAC scored from him being off his wing and at the end was unmarked too.

All of these are good for fixing the question marks

JFH is great. But Papali is the best prop in game at this point.Jnr offers far more in attack and no way I'd swap him for the Fish. You still have Haas,JT,Fonua Blake to think about.
In 2yrs he might be the best as a lot of those guys might get old.

At this point in time I would have Papali and Fish as the two most elite props in the game due to consistency of elite performance. Junior is probably next in line but still doesn’t put as many quality games together as the other two in my eyes - Fonua would come next after that and the other two shouldn’t even be in the conversation at this stage. I don’t really rate Haas as highly as a lot of people seem to based off what he has shown so far.

Rewatched the game last night when I got home and wow it was just as enjoyable, what an amazing game it was and I am so happy I got to experience it live!

A few takes from it:

- Feel terrible for Edwards after how good he was and has been going, it was almost like he wanted to step up more than anybody in this game because of Cleary being out. Hopefully he is back for us sooner rather than later.

- How good was it seeing the ferrrari in full flight to deny the Fox that try, it happened basically right in front of me at the ground and my initial reaction was to think it was try time but damn Staines is quicker than I thought. Beautiful instincts for his try too, lots of wingers wouldn’t have the smarts to do that and I thought it was a highly impressive play. Literally looked like Hynes had been ankle broken in an NBA highlight lol

- Brian To’o is an absolute monster, the work he puts in for our team isn’t normal. A few times in this game he took a hard carry and it almost felt like he took the follow up hit up too that’s how much work he was putting in. Fast becoming one of my favourite players.

- Yeo is quite easily the best 13 in the competition in my eyes, can’t think of any other lock that has the abilities needed to cover both style of lock that we mostly see at this point in that he can take a hard carry dragging players for huge amounts of PCM as well as being able to link the play to our halves with immense precision. Add to that he seems like such a good man off the field and he is the perfect player to lead our boys.

- Spencer was FIRED up for this one. Any talk of him getting a suspension for that shot he put on is ludicrous, it was just a heavy tackle that is getting viewed a certain way because the player was injured afterwards. I was directly in line with the tackle but on the opposite side of the field and the sound that it made was like somebody clapping directly into my ear. I can’t wait to see him continue to develop into an enforcer of our already ridiculous pack.

- Fish is Fish, the man never takes a backwards step and can’t remember the last time he wasn’t one of the best players on field.

- I think the way our second rowers are being used and rotated so far this season is much more ideal. Kikau looks the best he ever has because of the lower minutes he is playing and both Capes and Martin are so high quality too. Kikau keeps surprising me more with his defence than his attack, he looks like a nightmare to be tackled by with his speed and power.

- Continue to like what I see from the new players in the team. Even after getting folded by the cheese early on Eisenhuth seemed to put in a lot of work and seems to be fitting in more for us as each game goes on. I thought Momo was solid again too and has more the right to hold onto that spot.

- Although he has been pretty quiet in attack so far I think Crichton has worked hard on the defensive side of his game, he seems to be making a lot of the right reads and is a lot stronger in the contact he makes. The attack will come soon enough I have no doubt.

- Matt Burton had a great game and showed exactly why we should be holding onto him for the rest of this season.

- In following that, even though we won I think last nights game showed that Nathan Cleary is still our most important player. His dominance both on and off the ball is huge for us.

I probably have a few more points to make but I can’t be bothered for anymore at this stage haha will update post as I think of anymore!

After watching the replay one thing I’d like to see more of is Jarome popping up in the middle running the ball, with the speed of the game he will carve up tired forwards easily. Also Dylan showed he can pass really well right to left, I think we should be giving him some chances to combine on that left side attack sometimes.

Spencer was great, really took it personally. I think developing that hard edge that the great teams like Melbourne have is the next step in the team’s development. I didn’t like that rib shot he did but that’s footy I guess, even Cronk said there’s nothing wrong with that. I loved Spencer’s comments after the game though. He said when asked about the Munster tackle and getting fired on the field that it was all good and something like “I have the utmost respect for my opponents off the field but it would be a disservice to my teammates if I showed my opponents respect on the field”.

JFH is great. But I don't see much x factor. Compared to the other 3 mentioned. JFH is easily the best defender of the bunch. Jnr and Fonua leave holes.

Fish moves the line back, falls to his front and gets a quick play the ball almost every run. His work rate is huge as is his leg drive, he might not break the tackles but he gets great post contact metres. X factor can be overrated, no prop consistently lays the platform for the spine to play off as well as fish does right now, and he tackles everything.

Edwards has been great but right now Gutho is probably better. His try saving ability might be the best of any fullback and his attacking game is very well rounded. It’s pretty close given Edwards form to start the year but I find it hard to put Edwards clearly above gutho.

Edwards started the year on fire. As I said his Injury couldn't come at a worse time. But a broken hand isn't so bad imo. Leg and knee injuries are the ones that slow guys up and can effect season. Once his hands better he should be back 100% first game.
How long will he miss? My guess is 5 weeks

Once your halves learn to use Spencer properly he will be a wrecking ball. The key to guys like this isn't to waste them off a slow play the ball or your first hit up. Time his charges when the lines being pushed back and use him wisely and 50% of his runs will be 15mtrs+

One of the props takes the hit up from a kick off depending on what side the other team kicks to, they don’t have much choice, Spencer gets a quick play the ball off those runs anyway so we are on the front foot. Teams will work out not to kick off to his side soon enough.

4-6 weeks. His rehab efforts in the past have been huge and he he always comes back strong, but there is not much you can do to speed up a bone fracture.
