Round three vs The Storm

Edwards has been great but right now Gutho is probably better. His try saving ability might be the best of any fullback and his attacking game is very well rounded. It’s pretty close given Edwards form to start the year but I find it hard to put Edwards clearly above gutho.
Gutho and the parra team are shit at defence, thats why gutho saves tries,
Edwards doesn't let it get past the penrith defence, thru good organising. Might be boring, but effective.
Remember he has only let in 1 try after 3 rounds.
In regards to fish... please best prop in the NRL, papali is close, a few buffets will change all that

I operate on facts not emotions.

As far as Edwards goes it isn't emotional. He's a top 2 running fullback with Tedesco. Top 2 organisational fullback(defence) and is evolving his passing fairly quickly this year. The players like Gutho are going to have to be careful because he's going to sneak past them for rep jerseys. He's going from an average caretaker of the position to becoming one of the best on the back of work ethic.

He’s not a better ball runner than latrell or turbo or teddy. Probably not pap either or rts.

That depends what you're talking about. In an attacking move maybe but he's like To'o and seems to always break that first tackle. Without injury he'd be leading the nrl for metres. He's almost the perfect 6 again fullback. It's like having Mansour but better because he's agile with vision and he organises the defence and is passing now.

Ok, thanks for clarifying...sort of. Not sure why its relevant in the context of Api & Nath being out though.

As far as I can tell Franklin is saying the fact we can have injuries and still win is a testament to how good the recruitment has been. We aren't going to fall apart unless we have at least 2 props and multiple backs out.

He’s a great kick returner no doubt but in terms being a dangerous ball runner I think the others have him covered. There’s guys like AJ Brimson and Ponga to think about also, the fullback position is stacked. Calling Dyl a top two running fullback is a bit much.

Dylan is great player but realistically teddy, pap, turbo and latrell are ahead of him for the nsw full back role if healthy, probably gutherson also. Then there is the QLD fullbacks and rts. It’s a talented position.

Dangerous sure some of those names create a good highlights reel and I'd take some in a heartbeat but Edwards contribution I think is top tier overall. Especially Ponga who has a lack of effort.

Of course. I wasn't aware anyone was saying otherwise once Leniu, Yeo, Luai & Crichton were re-signed. Eisenhuth has been a pleasant surprise for most people I think.

He is awesome but I just can’t put him in the same tier as the top 4 or 5 fullbacks. They are some of the best players in the game.

Not sure Turbo counts anymore. He's done

Maybe but if he gets healthy he will be elite again. I heard a stat on the radio that he’s played 19 games fir manly the last 24 months and they won 15 of them. 15 of 19 when he plays, without him their record over that period is woefull. When he’s fit he’s a top 5 player in the league imo.

I think the players themselves voting him top 5 fullback last year was an indication he's getting close.
