Have to factor in that we played at the Dragon's spiritual home, and they lost two of their most famous players in Raper and Provan and the Dragons players would have been ultra-hyped for this game.

I call our win for what it was with some troops down and Cleary out, it was a stern win for the ages.

Hahaha ahh betcats..

Lucky for kayo its easy to prove my point.

I lied (innocently) to support salmon. Thought he had one hit up... i was wrong.

SOS went off with 12 to go in the 1st and came back on in the start of the 2nd..

Salmon had one touch in attack....one.....one.... of luais kick which he batted back and staines kicked dead....

But franklin thinks he played 7 for those 12 mins..

As i said... hes only touch was a knock back from a kick which staines kicked dead.

Nkt trying to hammer the bloke but take of the rose coloured glasses folks.

Some are acting like god if we didnt have a guy on the bench who could do what he did and play 7 we were stuffed.....

But in reality he just played 2nd row and our a listers carried us through when injuiries hit
Right, now compare him to Kenny. Tell me in your comparison to the Storm, do you see Kenny more as Harry Grant or the Cheese?

The club is 20 years old and doesn't have any spirit

This puts things into perspective a little

Won with 45& possession

65% completition rate compared to 63& from Dragons

Less run meters than Dragons

Less post contact meters

3 line breaks to 2

29 to 25 tackle breaks from Dragons

less kick return meters

slightly more kick meters

2 dropouts against us

only 50% kick defusal compared to Dragons 67%

393 tackles made Penrith compared to 329

15 ineffective tackles Penrith compared to 9 for dragons

Dragons 15 errors compared to Penrith 13

Dragons 6 penalties compared to Penrith 7

and of course Dragons 2 sin bins.

By looking at the stats. Penrith did well to win this, Cleary only used 7 interchanges (probably because of injury)

You and betcats are a little short sighted obviously.

The benefit of kenny is he is an A class defender....but, he allows api to run. And if api runs we have a bloke that can get to 9 and still offer clean crisp service (be it a 20m ball) to yeo at first reciever..

The modern game is all about speed around the ruck (tired forwards). Whilst kenny doesnt have speed he had good service and he allows apu to get creative.

Salmon did nothing in the 12 mins sos was off... one knock back... look, at the end of the day i just dont think we can carry salmon and kenny on the bench.

As i said before a ball was kicked this year, you need speed on the bench these days...

If kenny covers the forwards id honestly rather an out an out speedster on the bench for the backs if we must cover both. Turuva or may..

Just dont cunfuse salmon being a 14 tonight as me fix it. He didnt play half.. he was 2nd row and defended at centre when too went off and thats when hes missed tackles came as hes too slow for the backs.

Losing To’o and JFH (with Leota already gone) is going to absolutely kill us in coming weeks. I just don’t see where our metres will come from. We need at least 2 out of those three playing to be a chance. We are going to go through a pretty rough period for however long they are out.

May will cover Brian fine but the other 2 are a worry

Didn't say a bad word about them but I can start on that rock spider Langlands if you want?
On the day they were honoring their past great players. If on any other day, maybe, but not today. And slandering another player as a pedo, when the bloke can't defend himself is a bit raw.

We are in huge hige troubke if he is out for a similar time to moses...

Add that to sorensen looking like he did a pec and we are in massive trouble.

Take out sorensen, moses, fish....

Spencer
Api
Eiso
Kiks
Martin
Yeo

Hopgood
Kenny
Salmon
C smith

Not great.

Always have to cop injuries... but the reslity of being prems is dawning on us early

Neither Salmon or Kenny are good really but at least one of them can tackle
Kenny can only tackle if he’s in the middle 5, thus if he’s the only utility we are ducked (given Kurt’s gone) if anyone wider goes down. That’s why Ivan swapped Salmon in in last minute.

Ivan is trying to have it both ways, probably in the hope Kenny proves himself for next season, but f**king we nearly just lost to the dragons and it wasn’t some special performance from them.

IC didn't sound very confident when talking about To'o.

Could be a long lay off, or a season. Very diplomatic but I sense really bad news.

Id play kenny at 14.

C smith
Spencer
Sorensen.

Have to just play with injuries..

Issue tonight wasnt the injuries.

It was the fTigue due to drags pressue and the fatugue on kiks side..could really have done with c smith coming on..

You say salmon played halfback🤣🤣🤣

Cmon mate. Get a grip.. the whole time....whole time sos was off he didnt do a singke half thing. Luai kicked and luai and api, edwards and yeo did the directing.. im not even sure he touched it when sos was off other than one hit up???

Yet you credit him as filling in at half to suit yor narrative.

He didnt do anything there mate.

Not knocking him. Hes just not nrl standard..

Personally i dont mind have kenny on the bench but him and api on the field at the same time.

Similar to how melbs play with b smith and grant.

Its extremley effective..one runner one playmaker.

But dont confuse salmon filling holes as actually playing them.

Well who fills centre hole with that bench?

Same thing really. X player goes off you need to fill the hole.

Nup.. i think its pretty clear the club and ivan is showing some faith in soni.

Given hes injuries and age i really think ivan is looking at him as apis replacement. Just needs to get through 12 months of footy. The resigining on a mukti year deal indicates as much
