He’s competently defended in every position that’s been asked of him.

Everyone likes to bag May and say he’s Ivan’s second son and shit, but then wtf does that make Kenny? May’s attacking contribution will be 10 ducking times that of Kenny’s and that’s all you all pay any attention to.

Like wtf are you comparing Salmon to? Who is this mythical attacking utility we have that made May a poor option then and Salmon now?

There isn't one.

Salmon was good tonight, filled in Everywhere and in a game we got outdone physically he 4 tackle breaks and 32 post contact metres, that’s almost double Spencer’s pct and tackle breaks with only 1 more run. He’s a better utility than May was imo and definitely would have him in the side over Kenny.

Without looking at stats he didn't seem much. Reliable for what he was. That's better than I thought.

Thats fine.

If you think thats the way forward all good. Your opinion is fine.

Bit salmon offered nothing tonight when sos was off amd i objected to that..that is all.

Sorry if i got hasty betcats.

No worries, I am happy to agree to disagree on who should be on the bench but I have to mention I just watched that 12 minutes Sean was off again and I was right, Salmon had more than one touch I don’t know how you got that wrong.

You are delusional, you really are.

We are in round 2, who the f**k knows how things will be after round 3, never mind semis.

I have been very conservative from the get go, you were the one talking up no losses, we’ll be 9-0 far to good for any other side. Just BS mate.

Im all for being positive but you take it to levels beyond stupidity. Zero commonsense.

I don't get it. You were telling us last year our forward depth was bad but now people shouldn't comment on the roster and should just be positive but not too positive?

I'd just back Chris Smith in the backrow. Soro is much more effective in the middle.
Another out there option would be to move Tago to backrow and bring in Rennings and May

Looking at a picture of where too has ice on his knee suggests its a MCL injury.

MCL whilst still not great its not season hopefully..im thinking could be anything from 2 to 8 weeks

In terms of fish. Im not even sure the incident he did hes shoulder?

I certainly wouldnt be moving martin. 2nd row is our spot with the least depth.

For me spencer is a good impact player. Id leave it that way.

Id go

Tmay in for too

Eiso
Api
Sorensen
Martin
Kiks
Yeo

Salmon
C smith
Hopgood or L smith
Spencer

I prefer kenny at 14 but ivan loves his mr fix it players so i cant see him leaving him out any time soon. We just cant keep carrying both on the bench. Ivan needs to balls up and make a tough decision.

Yeah, I definitely don’t disagree with Soro.

personally, I’d be reluctant to move Tago.

Least depth? We have plenty of second rowers.

Im more concerned about our lack of experience in the middle.

Martin can always move back to an edge on his second stint, but I think we need some experience to hold the middle early.

Just my opinion. No doubt Ivan will see it different

I don’t quite get all the talk around Kenny and Salmon.

I think we have far bigger issues after tonight. Potentially no JFH, no To’o to add to no Leota and we are arguing about the merits of Kenny and Salmon. I must be missing something.
Brian we can get away with but without both JFH and Leota our middle will completely lack authority. And yes we cannot afford both Kenny and Salmon on the bench. That's the trouble when you don't have a genuine utility.

Not sure if I would move Martin yet

Keep the edges in tact to keep the atleast until C.Smith comes on Yeo and Martin likely spend time in the middle

Fish wasn't on ice. Nor in a sling post game

That should mean it is minor. So for that reason I would keep Tago out there because he needs time

Kenny cannot cover the backs. Salmon can cover the backs but cannot do 20+ tackles in the middle, which will be sorely needed if Fish is out. So basically we are running a 16 man side, with 2 players needed to do what one should be able to do.
