I 100% believe that Martin is a better middle and his future is there but he's our right backrower for 2022 and needs to stay there

Me too

A backrower needs to have some sort of ball skills. Until that comes he is a middle like Tago needs to play out of position for a season or 2

Personally I think IC will play safe & choose Eisenhuth at prop, hoping he has a bench of Salmon/Sorensen/Leniu/CSmith or Hopgood as I think it’ll be tough & physical against a big pack.

Hopgood played edge. Moving him now makes no sense

Leinu needs to build up more. Keep him on the bench for now

Eisenhuth will do a job and can ease him
into it

What would Tariq cost? He is on the outer. Would be a nice sneaky pick up.
Alvaro would be an ok back up. Boring player but will do a job and suit your fast style of play. Reliable and cost peanuts.

I think Sims might be too pricey. Might be able to do a TPJ thing for this year, but that then takes money for end of year upgrading.

We are fine for middles.
4 middles played for NSW Cup
Yeo played prop in the GF so even if Kenny spends time at lock.

The positive is it gives the side a look for the guys off contract

8-10 weeks is a good chance to give Lindsay or Hopgood a proper stint in first grade and see how they go rather than a game or two here and there. I think Eisenhuth is most likely but i'd like to see one of the young guys in Kennys spot also.

They don't have the cattle to go with us. They'll fold in the second 80 just like Manly
Even getting beaten up they'll still run hard and tackle hard unlike Manly. That's just Hook's way, a simple game plan. If you run harder and tackle harder you can overcome a gap on paper. We'll have to show up with intensity. We can't just play at 90% intensity and run through them.

I think that's most likely just would be nice to go the other way.

I am hoping over the 8 week period we see Spencer develop into a starter playing 50 mins.

He is the best option come the big games to replace a starting prop. For me him building minutes up

Rotating Smith, Hopgood, Blacker etc on the bench is the best way forward. Lets see if Ivan agrees

Depends how versatile he is in other positions. If he only plays 6 or 7 it's a waste. Unless Nathan or Jerome get injured mid game all he will do is warm the bench. He is better off staying match fit in NSW cup in case we really need him.

When he does go to NSW Cup. I'd like to see him get a run in other positions to know this answer

Yeah, wouldnt be a bad plan.

Do you recall him playing outside the halves in the lower grades? I only really remember him as a half. I do recall thinking he would make a handy NRL player, but not too many specifics. I also remember being a bit surprised that he didn't kick on at the Roosters.

No he was too good of a junior half.

Middles are getting smaller now. Yeo - changed that position. So I would have no issue if he went on to give Yeo a breather

Centre is really only 1 outside half. So should be fine in theory but he could develop into a starter here

Sean has played centre before, and he is a great tackler, maybe, with some practice, he could fill in at hooker?
