The same team they scored MNF against in Round 2.

How dumb is the NRL pitting two big games like that within 100k of each other? :fist:

I wanted to be at both :(

Nope, you'd be thinking wrong. The Knights have had five MNF games up to round 21 as well

Should be releasing the dates and times for Round 22 soon I'd imagine?

Here's my stab:

Friday
Melbourne vs Brisbane - Olympic Park 7.30pm Ch9
Parramatta vs Cronulla - Parramatta Stadium 7.30pm Ch9

Saturday
NZ Warriors vs Gold Coast - Mt Smart Stadium - 5.30pm Fox Live
Wests Tigers vs Sydney Roosters - Telstra Stadium 7.30pm Fox Viewers Choice
St George Illawarra vs South Sydney - WIN Stadium 7.30pm Fox Viewers Choice

Sunday
Bulldogs vs Canberra - Telstra Stadium 2pm Fox Live
Manly vs Newcastle - Bluetongue Stadium 3pm Ch9 delay

Monday
Penrith vs North Queensland - CUA Stadium 7pm Fox Live

Thought I'd give the Pamfers their first MNF game seeing as they haven't had one yet :fist:

Maybe Penruff will get the final 4 monday night games

They play the Cowboys, Knights, Roosters and Warriors so it's not impossible

Three maybe, I'm hoping not four. Surely the Knights have had their fair share of MNF games

Btw Dodge, you don't think Melb/Bris will be FNF?

Parra has had a good run with timing of Monday night games

1st two were back to back so a 7 day break
2nd one lead into the game against the Raiders (ok they got belted but not many people would've predicted a match like that)
They then get the bye before their 3rd Monday night game (vs Knights) so they actually haved a 16 day break between the game against the Roosters and that against the Knights
they then have a sunday game (6 day break after Knights) followed by their 4th Monday game (vs Brisbane 8 day break) then have another Sunday game following the MNF (6 day break)

much better then the Sharks earlier in the year who had Monday Night, City-Country Thursday and then Sat Night game in NZ

Double header?

Agree, but only because Fox would not in their right mind pick a Penrith match as their match of the round.

If that is what comes out, I'll deadset .......................................

Nah I won't say something I can't take back because it is possible that's exactly what the NRL will do

While it won't happen for round 22 cI would like to see what sort of a crowd would turn up in Melbourne for a Monday Night game, do the AFL run games on Monday?

Wouldn't be too much of a surprise, would it? That's the saddest thing about it.

AFL don't have Monday night games and our one and only home Monday night game so far was against the Dogs which drew 14,066 which was our best crowd for the season. We play Newcastle on Monday night in 2 weeks time.

IMO the Storm v Bronco's game should be the Sunday channel 9 game. The Friday night of that weekend Collingwood play Richmond at the G across the road which usually draws over 50K. The Sunday of that weekend, the only game of AFL is at Telstra Dome against the Roos and West Coast so given it's the GF rematch down here and we traditionally draw our biggest crowds against the Bronco's i reckon this match is tailor made for Sunday afternoon in Melbourne in front of at least 15K plus.

Of course channel 9 won't give a toss about all that and just go with whatever day/night they think will draw the biggest ratings :fist:
