yep, you read that correctly, according to the smh the total deal is 9.3m over 5 years.

in fairness though he’s nearly made up all that money with advertising, rugbys been on the front page more since he signed than it has in the past 15 years.
I guess the problem for Union is that it's not going to turn the Wallabies declining ratings or attendances around, nor will it do that for the Waratahs, so although articles, promo pics etc is fantastic, it won't move the needle on the things that improve their financial situation.

I don’t care what anyone says, it’s seriously embarrassing for Rugby Union that JS can walk straight into the starting line up of their most elite professional representative team, without having ever played their game professionally.
It would be the equivalent of Carter Gordon lining up wearing 6 for the Kangaroos against Tonga this weekend. It’s absolute madness.
Imagine if you’re an up and coming, early 20’s centre in Union who’s stayed with that sport through development etc, just getting to be the best in your position, and then the ARU bring in someone external who’s never played the game to take your position. You’d be fuming.

Usually when they have the team line up it says what club they play for, will it say Sydney Roosters lol

.

They're paying him $1.5m a year. He better be in the starting line up.

Paying union should be like a holiday for him compared to the nrl.

It`ll be even more embarrassing if he does bugger all because he hardly sees the ball.
