1. Customize your teams.
2. Go to player creator in footy factory.
3. Save and exit.
4. Customs hould be right now.

Still playing the same career that I started with. I don't get to play often but what is annoying is the number of teams that dump their established stars and sign others.

I have now won three seasons with Parramatta but I can't win the WCC.

I am actively trying to sign and bring through younger players and give myself a challenge.

I do love the depth of the AI management for the most part and the fact that some teams are improving and others falling away but the Storm are still right up there every season.

My only improvement I think it really needs is a slider to control the loyalty of teams to players and making it easier to bring U20 players into the NRL squad.

My 2013 Raiders side isn't too much different.

1. Reece Robinson
2. Edrick Lee
3. Jarrod Croker
4. Blake Ferguson
5. Sandor Earl
6. Terry Campese (c)
7. Sam Williams (not very good but trying to play him into form)
8. David Shillington
9. Josh McCrone
10. Brett White
11. Joel Thompson
12. Josh Papalii
13. Shaun Fensom

14. Shaun Berrigan
15. Tariq Sims
16. TLL
17. Dane Tilse

Such a young side that it's easier to keep the players I've got and develop them. Will probably make big purchases next season when I get rid of Berrigan, White and probably Buttriss.

The only player I've created for the Raiders is Anthony Milford and I've pretty much given him super agility and balance, decent speed, kicking and passing.......the rest crap.

Couldn't you have linked to Ross' post on the Big Ant forum that you got those quotes from instead of to your blog?

Two things I find frustrating about the career mode (although I can deal with it) is that you can't see overall player ratings until the trading period at the end of the season. It's hard to track player development during the season. That and how you can't pick-up free-agents mid-season.

Hopefully they keep plugging at it because I think they have a good base now.

If you are playing Career mode that is correct - Unless you start with a custom team which has the players you want.

How do you do this? I have tried to put Lewis and Gordon in the Cronulla team with no success.

When you add players to a team through the Footy Factory it actually creates a duplicate custom team with those new players. You have to use that custom team instead of the original.

Yup...replace the original Sharks team with your custom team. When you choose which team you wish to play as (PS3) press the green triangle to go to custom teams.
I found the highest level too easy so I just replaced the original Sharks team with the reserve grade team.

Looking to start a good career to grow a team, and build them up.... Any suggestions?

3 teams I enjoy building up are

Eels
Dragons
Tigers

All have core players you want to build your side around and keep to develop but all have positions you can strengthen with some players from other clubs

Raiders are good too

Eels - building the forwards especially the back row

Dragons - halfback and forward depth needed

Raiders - good pack but lacks some sting in attack.

Tigers - have players in positions that are good to keep but some areas really need improving probably the biggest challenge because they don't have one are that is strong like forwards backs and halves all have weaknesses in there. Backs to keep: Ryan, Lawrence and ayshford (also backrower) Marshall is only decent half, forwards are similar to backs got some good players but need to build

Yup, same. With my team of fringe first graders its a real challenge on the hardest settings. I just played two of the BEST games I have ever played. One against Penrith...I was leading 16-nil at half time, but the panfers came out firing. With 8 minutes to go I was down 24-16 & my winger went over to make it 24-22. From the kick-off my 5/8 caught it, jinked right & then took off left in between two forwards, stepped around the fullback to run the length of the field & score under the posts....28-24 my way.
Buuuut...with 1 minute to go I drop the ball first tackle from the kick off...panfers on the attack!!! Third tackle is mere inches off the try line, with 30 seconds to go....I hold the player down to soak up time...penalty, quick tap with 10 seconds left...wide pass to their winger & he gets taken down on a wonderful one on one tackle....and the hooter sounds!!!!

Next game was almost the same, but I lost it in overtime. Still, at round 25 I have my reserve grade Sharks team sitting in first place. I also replaced a NRL team with the Newtown jets...THAT was a challenge...but fun.
