In my opinion, a delayed update is still a whole lot better than no update at all, and forking out another $80 for a new 2013 season game.

The player development is much more noticeable now. I've just started a career and only played all the trials, but I've been keeping an eye on Edrick Lee's development and it's moving up much quicker. Most of the stats have gone up between 2 - 4 points already and his passing has gone up by 8 points.

The attack in general seems a lot better since the patch. The passing and offloading is much better and so is the support play. Scoring some awesome tries.

I haven't thrown 1 intercept yet!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the free patch amended all those problems Walt?

Either way, I've noticed the offence doesn't sprint 30m downfield anymore when I'm clearly just trying to pass the ball.

I believe so.

I think the DLC is just the 2013 content.

This game is frustrating as f**k.

I can't pass 1 out to a prop because 9 times out of 10 he's already overran the dummy half by the time I'm ready to pass so I'm left with Pearce & Maloney to hit it up out of my own end or when I can get it to a prop I have to pass halfway across the field and I really wish time slowed down like it did in Rugby Challenge when kicking, I have gotten about 4 kicks away in 4 games.

It's also pretty shit that Easts only have a home and away jersey with the wrong socks for the home team. The Bulldogs have a nice selection of about half a dozen jerseys though

You will get used to it

You can set your line so that your prop does stand a bit back to get the ball

How do you do that natheel?

TT, I recommend double tapping all the time to your first receiver. It ensures they run on with gusto and usually creates opportunities that aren't otherwise there.

The frustrating thing with not being able to play 1 out is those cut out passes are finding ground and being intercepted. I'm slowly getting used to frantically tapping LB and RB in defence to control a player so hopefully the passing comes soon.

I scored a really sweet try (my first actually) from the scrum 20 inside my own half with Pearce playing a short ball to Maloney who found the gap and ran the length of the field to score, looked sensational with Jimmy hitting the pass at speed. That felt good. Shame about the 43 points I conceded  Dogs kicked a field goal just on half time to make it 19 to 6 which I thought was pretty interesting of the AI.

Directional buttons. Press up for a more attack line. And leave it for a flat line

Anyone else get their fullback randomly kick away the ball on the first tackle without being controlled to do so?

May be something wrong with my controller.

Over this game already.

AI throws half field passes perfectly in to holes with support play either side on the 4th tackle every time. When I do it, intercept, and when SBW does find his centre? It's FPN with O'Donnell in support and no one else.

Played a game where Broncos scored 5 times from consecutive kick offs in the second half, that's about equal to the amount of sets I had at all. Anderson putting pin point bombs on the 3rd tackle for tries.

Thaiday knocks on in the act of scoring a try, I'm tackled 1 metre out in the field of play. No scrum, tackled at dummy half for a line drop out  Gillett impossible to tackle 1 on 1. Wallace with a try assist every time he throws a cut out pass.

This is more frustrating to learn than Dark Souls.

9/13 completions against 24/27. 2 linebreaks to 19 but only 11 missed tackles. Still yet to receive a penalty in any game I've played too.

Turn down the difficulty? The jumps between difficulties in this game are ridiculous.

And the other team very, very rarely gives away a penalty.
