in attack short balls are key.
get on a roll by scooting out from dummy half and passing in one motion.
Kick early if you have to, defending against a team inside their own 10 is easy so develop a good kicking game. From that you will get plenty of chances to be in a strong attacking position.
This.
Started a new career with the updated squads. Personally I've found the forwards are getting more involved after the patch. In my first game against the tigers, my first try came from mason grubbering for himself into the ingoal
On the subject of grubbers, they're my new favourite 5th tackle option when I'm in the opposing half. 90%of the time it will strike the opposing players legs and ill regather with 6 again. In the same game that mason scored, rochow grubbered in behind the defense from 20 out, chased through, regathered, and had a clear path under the sticks.
I'm playing on the middle difficulty while I get used to the patch update, will probably bump it up soon as I've won my first two games by at least 20 each time.
Also I can't stress enough how important setting your training to defensive is...in those two games I've missed a total of 10 tackled, whereas each of my opponents are upwards of 30+.
Another funny thing that happened in the tigers game...from the kickoff Gidley got it and passed to no-one in particular, mckinnon had to run back to get it and had just turned to face the defense when Blair put a massive shot on him. Mckinnon lost the ball back and reddy (I think) pounced on it to score. Never had that happen before
