I remember getting an Eels controller with Rugby League 2 and it died within a week.

I got my storm one on release date. It still worked until about 6 months ago.

Also team branded controllers felt cheap like the old Madcatz ones cheap

Yeah, thats not a bad price for a new release, but I generally buy cash converter and EB specials. There's so many games around for $20-$40, thats what I usually buy them for.
I could possibly buy a new release, but I won't until I know for sure it's 'SEN-SATIONAL!!!.' So I'm happy to wait a week or two for some reviews and full feedback from a few gamers/fans, even if it means missing out on a little bonus ball.
Resident Evil for example is $119 here on release. It may not be as bad as reviews are saying, but it certainly doesn't sound like it justifies a new release purchase.

EB Games have this in stock. Was told that most got it early due to large preorders. I doubt they will break the street date.

If this is the they received it yesterday because they didn't have stock at Macarthur Square. With EB's plans to have a midnight launch, I can't see them jumping first and breaking it.

Yeah I really doubt EB Games would break the street date release.

Whoever breaks the date will make a shitload though, especially considering not all retailers have the game in stock.

I agree, but the issue is stock. If a store as X number of stock which only matches the pre-orders, they wouldn't break it.

There was one tiny screen at the EB Games Expo with Rugby League Live showing. HES had more screens with old versions of Call of Duty demoing their Tritton headphones.
