It sucks you can't up the difficulty during the season. So I usually restart with a new side and sim first season then sign players and play from the second year

So can you change difficulty in between seasons?

Only advice i could give is if you think youve got a diffuculty downpat or your starting to get the hang of a difficulty, make sure you go up one harder when starting a 10 year long career.

I'll just finish off the season then jump straight into legend. Apparently the game is at it's best at that level with running lines etc too and I might as well go the whole way if I'll commit to a franchise.

I love it on Legend, it works fairly well, the only time I seem to give away points are if I do something stupid, intercept, poor offload, bad kick etc. It feels like it really punishes you for mistakes while rewarding you for smart play.

Ok so I decided to put NBA 2K13 down for a bit and try and get some training in for the upcoming online league. Anyone up for a game?

Just letting people know, if I let replays/cut scenes play out instead of skipping them it usually means I am getting a beer or taking a leak, not trying to be a smart arse.

Not sure if it is just me, but I have found online to be more a game of who's connection is delivering the best rather than who is the better player. I base this on the fact that I suck at this game and sometimes I cannot stop someone to save me, and sometimes I can run through defencive lines untouched at will.

I see tackles get completed, then passes get thrown all the time it is crazy. Also passes go behind players only for them to magically regain the ball and warp past the defensive line.

Online play can be tricky, if you don't have good connection you will get flogged as tackling needs to be using correct timing. I have played a few "lag-free" games online and I have enjoyed it.

But if their is any lag it just because hard and frustrating to play.

If you are on XBOX 360 and haven't yet installed the game on your HDD - do it. It will help a lot with the crashes. Fact is the disc drive in the 360 is rubbish.

I haven't had any lag online, I have had a ton if people try cheap little tricks to beat me, and yet the only two games I've lost so far were against people playing as if it was an actual game.

Legend is kicking my ass. Haven't let in less than 40 points in four games! Biggest issue seems to be the number of missed tackles by my team mates.

Really starting to notice the lack of penalties and turnovers from the AI too. They feel too perfect.

Yeah got it installed on the HDD. Still crashes from time to time, mostly when it's showing replays and stoppages in play.

Yep. There are still obvious faults in the game which are easy to exploit, like guaranteeing possession off a short kick-off. There's an unwritten rule though that they aren't used, these games have been the best I've played. Plenty of people playing 'dog pool' out there though.
