No way. Big Ant's first league game was abysmal, but RLL2 was the best league game anybody has made so far.

I went back over there, and almost a good twenty four hours after Ross has said "that's the last I'll say on it", he drags up one of my posts, quotes it as "Blah, blah, blah" and then bans with a ban reason of "f**k off". The guy cannot take anything bad being said about his game, which is unfortunate because there has been a lot wrong with Big Ant's first two entries.

Imo the very first Side Rugby League game was the one that most felt actually felt like League. Everything else since has been too generic feeling. The inclusion of more modes and better graphics of course makes them better games but they didn't feel right.

I think BigAnt get lazy and cheap with their games. Unbelievably glitchy, poor licencing agreements and things that just make no sense, like having to wait till the end of the season to sign players in career mode...

Geez they're a bit sensitive over at the big ant forum aren't they. That Ross character seems to have some sort of messiah complex.

Granted some of the criticism hasn't been entirely constructive but general consensus makes for a pretty boring discussion.

Apparently 27 August is the release date. Well not confirmed but the date floating around. Also that douche Ross hinted it was correct.

If the game is legit shit again take my word guys I'll return my copy. So that big ant don't see the profit. Buy a used copy and literally flush it down the toilet.

You all can quote that as well lol. I'm sick of the same terrible game play.

I'll get it from EB and just return it if it's shit. I gave RLL2 way more chances than it deserved.

gotta see if the game stands the test of time.

because its a league game it will be awesome to start with anyway, but the novelty soon wears thin. atleast it has in the past. A shitty league game is on par with a good sports game of any of sport IMO. because sadly there is competition.

I remember my rll 1 and 2 reviews called them the best game ever after one game. Then returned an hour later. The games played like shit. I had the most fun on rugby league 1 on ps2 and pc. I was rated at 1 for ages. But not because I was good but instead based on how many games I played lol

I played a lot of RLL2, and I will undoubtedly play a lot of this one too. That's unfortunately not because it was a good game, but because there is no direct competition, and the only close competition is leagues ahead.

The best RL game for me was the one on nintendo wii, it was fun to play and the franchise was good.

Super League Pro Rugby is the best footy game ever. All others are poor in comparison

Agreed with that. A lot of the little things, like signing players mid-season and being able to release players from contracts puts it ahead of the franchise mode RLL2 served up.

Yeah that was great, I've just done a search of my cupboard and now dusted off the wii and rugby league 3, time to see if I remember how to play this thing :D

I liked Rugby League 2

because I could mod the absolute shit out of it.

I ended up with 32 clubs, all Australian and New Zealand and all had their own unique stadiums. Some teams had to share but no more than 2 teams to a stadium. I unmerged all merged clubs, ended up with conferences. It was great. I think I had 5 or 6 New Zealand teams, 2 Perth teams, 2 from Melbourne. Queensland had 6. Brought back the Rams. Was fantastic.

Spewing that the PC it was on died a few years ago. I'd probably still be playing and modding the shit out of it.

Yeah the pc version was the best by far. I remember d. Amor for the raiders used to carve up big time

I think it was Nicholls (Mullins I guess) at fullback who used to really carve up too.

Used to crack me up when you'd run into a goal post, get knocked down and the ball would go flying.
