His follow up post is even better. He's delusional enough to pull out the "they can dish it out but not take it" line

Hang on...Hahaha. what a clown. Allegedly, we can't take it but can dish it out.

Ross, explain how we cannot take it. In what way? I was banned twice on your forum, never given a response or a reply to my feedback. I am not accountable for anything. You guys develop the game that we the consumers decide on whether to invest our hard earned money.

You somehow believe that you are immune to feedback, actually that is wrong. You enjoy feedback as long as the person is feeding your ego with positive comments.

Ever wonder why Big Ant is currently receiving so much heat/negative feedback?

Go to operation sports. Check out how some of the developers for games such as Madden interact with the consumers. A game which progress ever so slightly year in and year out still receives much better appreciation. Why? Because the developer doesn't come out and talk crap. You are a douche of the highest order.

I made 5 posts in total and was banned. I reviewed the policy and rules to the forum and followed them accordingly. It is you that cannot take it. Never could, I remember how you would act after RLL1.

I can understand being frustrated at negative feedback when you have a small team and get constant unfair comparisons to games with astronomically higher budgets. But when you shut out some very valid constructive criticism with blanket statements it's not a good look

It's a shame really...

While it wasn't the best game, I thought Big Ant made some really good strides with Rugby League Live 2. It's the first game that's actually felt like a Rugby League game, where forwards are actually useful and actually flows like a game of Rugby League as opposed to whatever Rugby League 2 was.

If they could polish it and expand on it, they'd have themselves a really good game.

Unfortunately, nothing about Rugby League Live 3 fills me with much hope. It sounds like they've put all their resources into modes, when really, that should take a back-seat to the core gameplay.

Maybe they'll surprise us and Rugby League Live 3 will make all the right steps forward. However, the fact that we've been shown so little doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.

What would sell me is if they put together a gameplay video trailer, showing off some new features (whether it's dynamic passing) or even a non-descript footage of James Roberts chasing down Trent Hodkinson. Or even the option to have your team stand flat, or stand deep. I doubt that will be in the game, but if it was, it'd just about make the game for me.

apparently the 7.5 minute halves (15 minute games) didn't make the cut.

one of the things I wanted. I know it sounds small but it f**king pisses me off.

Madden drops in a week. I don't know why they didn't try and get it out beforehand.

I'm going to stick with Madden unless RLL3 gets decent reviews.

The optimum time to release this game would be the beginning of a season. The problem I have with releasing them at the end of the season is you're pretty much starting with out of date squads. A release in January or February would take advantage of all the pre-season buzz and make the addition of the 9s more appealing too.

Ross is an annoying merkin. He expects nothing but positive feedback, despite the previous games lacking in every aspect. That povo company didn't even have their own forum for ages..had to friggin free load from sidhe and here on LU.

He comes across as incredibly unprofessional and delusional. Keep thinking you are head of 2k sports you tool.

I reckon he's pretty reasonable. You can tell him you think things need improvement etc and he's pretty good from my experience. He just doesn't have any time for the "LET'S START A PETITION FOR AN EA GAME!" morons who just go on the forums to bag it and in completely unconstructive ways whilst bitching that it should be like Madden.

To be honest, I just reckon a lot of the whinier fans just don't like it when their boring venom isn't solely one way... and seriously, a fair few of the detractors here have very little useful to say outside of bagging the game whilst demonstrating they don't get economics.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest you two have just proved RoosTahs point. A lot of immature crap and attacking of individuals on this thread.

As I said previously, I reckon this game looks pretty good and if you're a supporter of rugby league you ought to be happy there are any games at all

In defence of Big Ant, they do make it pretty easy to get squads updated with the FanHub

RossTah,

Fair point, some people have wanted EA to develop the game, but chances are it would be shipped out to some of their third party developers located in Russia and we would likely get a far inferior product to what is currently available.

I personally do not want EA to develop the game, unless it is with their larger sized studios like EA TIBURON. Imagine if 2K Sports developed the game with their previous NFL development team, those guys had a lot of talent. By the time they made NFL2k5, to this day the game is still considered the greatest NFL video game.

If Big Ant want fan interaction, that is great. But they cannot have it one way. They cannot expect to put themselves out their to the public and not expect to get some level of heat, considering the poor quality of their products.

RLL1 - Most likely one of the worst sport games to be made.
RLL2 - Massive improvement, but still so buggy and varied very little. Every game played out the exact same way. Terrible animations and some shocking game play mechanics, such as passing in general was shit house, kicking was crap, contesting the ball from kicks was abysmal. Almost every fundemental aspect of rugby league played out very poorly, but nonetheless it was still far better then RLL1 (only due to how shit RLL1 played).

If Big Ant had a different development history, the general consumer would not be bagging them out like they have on Facebook, their own forum and this forum. Go have a look at Operation Sports and see the content being provided by customers/gamers from various EA Games.

I want this rugby league game to be fun and not littered with annoying gameplay mechanics. Hopefully they pull through, but the game alleged comes out on 10 September, we have seen ZERO actual gameplay. Forget the trailer which is just a close up of the replay.

As for Ross, the bloke is a tool. Always has been. Posted on here several years ago when RLL1 was being released, then pissed off as soon as everyone returned to mention the issues with the game. Then bam he returns with the news about RLL2, but as soon as he is provided feedback, he takes off again.

He wanted everyone to worship him, simply for the fact that his company are developing a game that we want. Like I give a shit who develops the game, as long as it is good. Tru Blu do not care, they want a return on the product. If not Big Ant, they would find someone else.

Ross cannot hack any negative feedback. He wants us to simply love the game with all the shitty features and gameplay issues. We tried to mention them, yet he takes it personally.

Remember Mario from SIDHE, did he receive the same level of heat, nah...why not? Cause he did not respond and treat the general community like garbage.

Fair enough mate. That's not been my experience on the BigAnt Forums, but I don't play any sports games outside of League and Union ones because I just couldn't give a f**k about soccer or NFL and so wouldn't waste my time playing a sim of those sports. As a result I'm less critical and can see their improvement, so I don't give them as much "heat."

As for Mario, I was over at the Sidhe forums during all those games, and to be frank he copped it pretty bad too from the same sorts of EA fan bois all the time. He didn't ban them too often, but he certainly seemed to give them a bit of crap back too.
