is Roostah actually Ross? or people just jumping to conclusions because he is defending Big Ant?

I've had conversations with Ross and he is an Eels tragic so i highly doubt no self respecting Eels fan would make a fake profile posing as a Roosters fan....i hope

Nah just giving a bit of guff over Roostahs blind loyalty to the man.

You don't experience much heat on the Big Ant forums though because they ban anyone who has serious criticism of the game / marketing / general treatment of the gaming public.

We have a release date. I'll be getting the game through EB games on Xbox One. It's got 7 days to prove it isn't a rehashed RLL2 and to show me the game feels remotely like an actual game of League.

If not, it's going back.

at the very least the graphics look a lot nice I have to say. That's more than you can say for Rugby Challenge 3, which just looks like a straight port of RC2

hahahahah poor IBM, can't escape it in any forums!

I haven't heard anything regarding this, but are they going to keep the squads updated for at least 12 months?

It seems now they're releasing the game and then it's up to the fans through fanhub to update the teams?

They did do a very comprehensive update on DB Cricket that fixed up a lot of strange and annoying niggles so here's hoping!

The optimum time to release this game would be the beginning of a season. The problem I have with releasing them at the end of the season is you're pretty much starting with out of date squads. A release in January or February would take advantage of all the pre-season buzz and make the addition of the 9s more appealing too.

I agree that the timing is poor, coinciding with the start of the season would be best.

But there's two reasons Jan/Feb wouldn't work. The first is the lead time from when the game is "finished" to when the game is physically produced, packaged and distributed can take up to a month or so. Plus you'd have people working long hours leading up to that to have it finished which would mean working long hours around Xmas/New Year. Which is why I think it ends up being TBA for most of the year until a late season release because they're not finished.

The other reason is that no one buys games in Jan/Feb. Q4 is generally a good time but if you have the right product March/April is fine.

Anyway with the fan hub, release date is meaningless if they continue to update and support the product.

Meh not holding out hope big ant has a history of tubbish games (last cricket games) whether its lack or resources or just not giving a f**k but the game atm just looks like it was ported from prevous gen. Hope the struggle system isnt just the ruck system they used in their rugby game a few years back (or was that trublu)

Graphics are clearly better. Not by a tonne, but there are noticeable differences. You can see it in little things like the grass:

In RLL2 it looks like green concrete:

Whilst in RLL3 it looks like grass:

Keep in mind that's actual gameplay footage Vs. Replay footage.

I agree though, the graphics look more polished. As stated 4000 times though, the gripes aren't about the graphics.
