So, there is an option to have recruiting set to "always get your man", which essentially means you can be the Melbourne Storm and play without a salary cap, as every single player will happily accept deals worth $1 a year.

I my attempts to actually get my plodder team mates some tries of their own, I somehow throw a forward pass.

I don't know if that physically impossible forward pass, or the fact that that is the point where I have to pass my AI team the ball in order for them to score is worse. That's ignoring the fact that three Warriors players just stand and watch it all without even trying to stop anyone from scoring.

What is up with that? 3 Warriors not even attempting to tackle you?
I don't really play other sports games so, does that sort of thing happen in games like FIFA? NFL games?
I really wanted to get this game but seeing this, I'm not so sure.

Other games have their faults but nothing on this level. If it's this bad they'll patch the shit out of it too.

Had an Issue with Madden where my AI defenders would get encroachment penalties when leaving the huddle, was frustrating but it's already been patched after 2 weeks.

After 2 days of play I will be returning it this afternoon. It's the worst RL game I have ever played.

1 game Sam Moa made a break and my defenders jogged beside him for 80 metres. When trying to change to the nearest defender it kept selecting the trailing defender who was running directly behind the player but 10m behind.

I'll be taking mine back as well. Not sure what to replace it with though. For someone whos never played a Madden game, will I like it?

jeez, I'm getting my copy next week and I feel flat about it after reading the last couple of pages.

Over on the BA forum, heap of people love it or they hate it.

As for Madden, the great thing is that you don't need to actually follow NFL to enjoy the games (probably helps). I don't really follow the NFL but I can still jam on NFL 11 and find it a good time waster =D

Yeah ^ I've noticed that EVERY tackle, the defensive line is reset, and they all make it back the 10. No many opportunities to run at a bloke for a penalty, and virtually no offside.

I haven't seen the defence stand like that "yet" but the shadowing and running beside an attacking player has only happened to me a few times.

It's full of people who like it because you get banned if you don't. I've seen some constructive criticism offered only for the studio owner to come in and abuse them. Apparently his behaviour is warranted.

"That's too many professional fouls in a row, the next one could be a sin bin offence." That't the bit of commentary I just got from Voss.... Last time I checked the first professional foul is a sin binning, not the professional foul three penalties later. That's ignoring the fact that simply holding down in the tackle does not constitute a professional foul like video game Vossy would have you believe it does. But Big Ant know Rugby League.

The player chat is pretty stupid, too. I'm laying on the ground tackled and people are yelling out "Pass! Pass! Pass!" :crazy:

This game is hot garbage lol It was not play tested at all because if it was, surely anyone with common sense wouldn't have green lighted its release. It's the same game it's always been with a mild visual upgrade, the same problems it always had plus a few new ones. I gave up on Be a Pro because seeing my team all on Red/orange form yet again convinced me it was broken, but coach isn't much better.

That last one happens far to frequently. Practically everytime the ball is kicked off or whenever the opposition spread it wide. Defenders just crap themselves and then jog beside the man making the break.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Opposition make a linebreak down the sideline, and is met by three of my defenders - and he literally waltzes through three defenders like they're f**king ghosts.

Or how about when you make a break, have nobody in front of you - and the fullback magically teleports in front of you and tackles you?

So, so shit. This game is a steaming turd.
