All Big Ant have been doing is updating a game engine that was designed for the Wii with Rugby League 3.

So I'm guessing why they can't update the core gameplay is because they have no idea how to but they are to arsed to start from scratch like Don Bradman.

Me personally, I'd rather break my console. The frustration I had with both games....I couldnt play either of them for more than two days.

RLL 3 - Returned the following day after purchase.
RLL 2 - Returned the day of the purchase - approximately two hours later.
RLL 1 - Returned 30 minutes after purchase.

I guess they were correct..the game has improved.

They just do not have the talent to develop a game remotley similar to Rugby League.

I actually think SIDHE would have been the better developer, had Tru Blu tightened the budget and opted for someone cheaper. We are screwed, straight up. I cant even hate on Big Ant, if they generally suck at making games then why rip on them for that. We should be more angry at Tru Blu for funding the damn project.

This is the same publisher that released the same effing game like five times on last gen, including a self titled GOTY edition.

The gameplay in these games are beyond terrible. Literally can change direction with anyone at full speed, players can race up and destroy the forwards. Speed of the passes and kicks is way too slow. Defenders opting to jog and never commit. The AI both teammate and opposition moves as a single entity.

Anyone else notice that when trying to run down someone after they make a break that the AI refuses to allow you to switch to the nearest chaser? or you could have someone like Slater and he would struggle to catch Shillington during a linebreak?.

ZERO CONSISTENCY in this game and all there other games.

It is even impossible to discuss this with Ross, instead he will search for the most random line and then comeback with the most ridiculous response. Delete this post Ross. Heavens forbid that the general community hear from unsatisifed customers.

Ross have you seen this? You and Big Ant conduct yourselves the same way.

Now before you go on about how much of a mad dude you are and how we suck...just remember, in this instance you developed a heap of crap, not us.

I don't hate Big Ant - Don Bradman Cricket is great imo.

But their league games are f**king awful.

DBC is still a great game.

I wonder if the patches for RLL3 will make any difference to enjoyability.
I'm glad I've pre-ordered from EB, I'll have a good play on it and probably return it if I agree with you lot

I don't get the love for Don Bradman Cricket? That game was pretty much also released in a beta state and has been upgraded over the last year or so they are now up to a game that is suitable for release.

I know it's off topic but in Bradman cricket you can't even dictate to where you want the ball to land on the wicket when bowling. I know there are action triggers for short, full and good lengths but to me it's pot luck where the ball lands.

And no ball marker when batting is poor form. I know it appeals to the masses at another forum but a gamer like me doesn't have the reflexes anymore to choose front or back foot and the direction I want to hit the ball all in a split second.

I don't agree with that at all FR. DBC for me was great from the start, but they managed to make some great improvements in the last couple of patches.

Ball marker would be good though, but I don't find it hard to get the ball where i want it when bowling. If you can get the right stick in the correct position, it'll land in very close to the right spot.

The saddest part is the NRL doesn't seem to give a shit about how their property goes in video games. If they did, they would've dropped this mob for a better sell long ago.

I agree with others on here. DBC is probably the best cricket game out on the market, BA tried a few innovative things which I really liked.

RL3 however misses the mark on all fronts.
I saw a poll on BA that shows RLL3 is preferred over RLL2 which I find laughable.
Each to their own I guess.....

Who is that mob though? Making a high quality video game on the scale of a Madden or something costs upwards of $70 million to make.

Unless the NRL made a conscious decision to approach the Madden devs at EA and say "we'll give you $20 million to make a kick arse rugby league title" then we're always going to have a weaker product because the cash just ain't there.

Giving up on this game now, the more you play the more you find. You either win online matches through crappy AI or you lose the same way.

Basically the reason I hated the game. Everyone on BA Forum mouthing off that the game needs a certain level of skill...which it doesnt. It is bascially broken.

One of the many things that irritate me is you think you have got through a hole in the defence only to be tackled by a player three metres away. I think the frustrating thing about the game is they only need to fix a few things for the game to be very playable even if it's still got flaws.

Nope, wrong

Take some of the money they spent on making it look "good" and make it actually work. Even a simpleton can figure it out.

The biggest selling point for me with this edition was the Be A Pro mode, creating my own player and making him a key player for the Eels. I knew it wasn't going to have all the little bells and whistles of NBA's My Player, I however thought the AI would at least be competent. You put a team mate through a gap, and they either offload to someone heavily marked or manage to miss the gap entirely. I've thrown passes to an unmarked Semi Radradra five metres out from the line who is pulled down short. The only way he scores is if the opponents AI out derp. This is the essential shit you need to get right, I pass to an unmarked Kobe on NBA and he scores points nine times out of ten. I'll still play the game just because of how much I love this great sport of ours. It's not something that is going to demand hours upon hours of my time, though, and you better believe it'll be taking a back seat over the next few months to thing like Halo 5, Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, Hitman and even Black Ops 3, just to name a few.

Did you guys see any of the nba 2k16 mycareer news on YouTube that dropped today, mind blowing stuff we are in for a treat, this is going to be the best sports game to date.

RLL3 will be getting used as a frisby or fire starter.

So are you guys saying its worse than RLL2? I actually quite like that game on the 360 and was looking forward to playing 3 - but if everyone hates it I'm wondering whether I bother?

Having said that, everyone hated RLL2 and I managed to enjoy it, so maybe I should just try it and find out myself

RLL3 needs a massive patch to sort out the thousand bugs and glitches, I'd wait for that to happen and see how the reviews are then, grab Fifa or Nba 2k16 they are both out next week.

I really liked RLL2.

I hate this though. The flaws are just too much and even more apparent then RLL2.

They should have just polished up RLL2 and added the drag system/quick play the ball. With Be a Pro and Instant Replay it would have been a decent league game.

Rather then rewriting it from scratch like they said they did. I'm not even sure why they did this, it's similar to RLL2 anyway, just worse.
