A couple of Latu level signings wouldn't be anything to complain about, especially if a couple are forwards.

Either that or a wing so we vcan put Maumalo where he should be instead of playing Manu Lite (I know it won't happen, but a guy can dream)

Latu, a bulldog, a bronco or two, a non-nrl player & one other in various stages of negotiation.

There may be some caution around one with medical issues (that would effect the length of contract we would be willing to offer) and Kearney's desire to broom out of a few from our current top squad that will require someone else to foot the bill.

Maybe two more ISP signings. One with a similar background to Santo, one similar to CNK.

And an Aussie & a kiwi being interviewed for a coaching role.

Thanks Mix, that's a good level of info there.

Bulldog player - Klemmer (Big name? Rumoured to want out) or someone like Tualau who has also been thrown around. Lichaa as stand in half? He's hardly in demand as a hooker. Also Graham with the injury thing..

Bronco, Hopefully Jai Arrow/Joe O, probably Kahu.

Hopefully we get some announcements soon.

Ahhh Mix. Love your work. Always with enough info to tease but still allowing us the joy of speculation.

Ok let me think...

Graham immediately comes to mind in the Bulldog/medical concerns arena due to his concusions.

Latu I can only assume is Latu.

Bronco or two. Blair, Kahu, Joe O have all been mentioned as targets but also all 3 are likely to re-sign from latest reports.

A non-NRL player would likely be ESL unless there's a curveball in there and we're going after Union (please don't be Folau)

ISP signings similar to Santo and CNK immediately bring me back to the Kearney/Broncos connection - Opacic perhaps? We're probably sniffing around the Storm feeder teams too after the CNK move that has gone pretty well.

Kearney's desire to broom out a couple...considering we started the season with little over a dozen contracted players, it becomes a process of elimination game. Taking out those who re-signed on Kearney's watch and are confirmed to leave/still unsigned, the broom of doom is pretty much aimed at Lisone/Kata.

Ha, there's literally some names and details that I don't know.

I think if we got half of those signings (we won't get all) as fan base we'll be reasonably content.

It's like with the tigers - they've signed what, 8 people now? They talked to triple that - including Lillyman and vete.

What I would say is keep a close eye on what happens with lillyman and Bodene. If they get offered contracts it means things aren't going to plan. Some of those signings alluded to are like-for-like.

Well I for one would like to welcome the Lurker to this section of League Unlimited. Less than 24 hours.....

Could the Warriors snare two Broncos? The under-performing Warriors have finally realised they need more mongrel in their forwards and are launching a double strike on the powerhouse Broncos pack.

The struggling Kiwi outfit has targeted veteran New Zealand international Adam Blair and rising youngster Joe Ofahengaue in a bid to add some punch to their forwards that are out-muscled by Aussie clubs on a weekly basis.

Blair, 31, and Ofahengaue, 21, were both born in New Zealand and the Warriors are hoping to lure them back home.

One of the most experienced forwards in the NRL, Blair has been playing consistent football for the Broncos and would bring a hard edge to the Kiwi outfit.

The long-serving utility forward has yet to come to terms for next season and the Broncos could struggle to match the money the Warriors are willing to throw at him.

Ofahengaue is a fine up-and-comer and has the size and power to be a handy addition to Stephen Kearney’s team.

The pressure will be on Kearney in 2018. Hailed as a saviour this season, he hasn’t come up with the results and another poor year will have ruthless owner Eric Watson on the lookout for a new coach yet again.

The Thompson one is what interests me most in this scenario. All players I've seen mentioned have some sort of comparable. Lillyman (Blair/Graham) Ofehengaue/Latu (Vete/Lisone), but I haven't seen anyone mentioned who would slot into edge backrow where Thompson plays.

So do I take a guess and say the non-NRL player mentioned is likely to be an edge forward? Ahh what a tangled web. Screw working in recruitment.

Don't forget, if Mannering heads back to the second row, a tandem of him and Harris stiffens up the defence on either side of the field considerably. Of course that relies on getting a suitable 2 man rotation for the lock/middle forward role. Something like Pulu/Ofehengaue may be being considered with that in mind.

True, true.

Still, I like my way better as it fuels completely random speculation with no basis whatsoever.

I'd have thought Rusty Crowe would be purging a few players and other personnel considering how things are travelling at Souths.

Mole saying that Parra have joined the hunt for Latu. Offered him the same money that us and the Knights have.

There goes that hope then.

Not sure if the money being offered by us and Newcastle was anywhere near what Latu and the Panthers thought. We certainly didn't offer overs. Let's see if he's even released.
