Surprisingly there was a bit of demand for him, Canberra snuck in under the Cowboys guard (who he would have gone to mid season but Warriors wouldn't release him) and Souths came in late as well

SK had said today that a couple of recruiting announcements to be made in next week or so.

There seems to be several ex Warriors from previous U20s grade coming off contract with their respective clubs. Havilli, Bhana and I think a prop or 2. Wouldn't surprise me if they ended up coming into the 1st grade squad.

Didn't Havilli go to ESL mid season or did I imagine that?

Is Bhana even back playing after that horrific injury he had earlier in the year?

Always got the feeling Gubb was capable of better if the "process" groomed him to get fitter and smarter. They leave you to hang on the field here though, so he was never going to do much.

I like what Green brings, but it makes me less of a Warriors fans to see them still trying to load up the spine while the pack sits in the land of meh.

Green wasn't a cheap option (cheaper than DCE though) for Manly, he'll be even more expensive for us.

Green is a great organiser, and is probably the type of player that would help SJ immensely, good kicking game too

Guts of the story seems to be that he is contracted to Manly for 2018, but they aren't prepared to extend him past that deal, Warriors have come sniffing with a longer term deal so he would have to ask for a release and be granted it for the move to go ahead

Only thing I'd be wary of is his body, seems to struggle with his quad a lot, and post match in the sheds always seems to be covered in plenty of ice

Speaking of props.......latest name going around is Gerard Beale.

Lolz

I could actually live with Beale as left center. We desperately need more competition for Kata on that edge. As long as it's not big money and preferably for 2 years max. I think we might see Maumalo start to improve with someone like Beale feeding him some ball.

Do we need Green? With Ata, Lino and Johnson.

I'd rather see our props addressed. Never liked Beale, but I think he could be an alright option for us

Least they're getting an effort guy, a fringe guy who shouldn't play unless injuries hit. Was going to say a good coach could get him up to speed, but Stuart is mud.
Stuart is Mud - but compared with Kearney et al he's Gibson/Bennett/Bellamy/Gould level

There are things to like about Gubb (and many others at Penrose) - but they simply aren't improving here

Yes, to Green - if the price is right, but again we have guys that can be serviceable at #6, in a forward and coach oriented game we have a few black holes that Green won't fix
