Have checked this morning & both Beale & Blair put pen to paper last night and Sunday respectively. Announcement shortly with 2 other signings in the pipeline. JTS may be one of those.

Orginal plan for Blair was to announce him after Brisbane's final run but I think the announcement is being rushed.

lol, let's be real guys... we all know in our heart of hearts Kearney is much more likely to use Beale to replace Ayshford.

Kata's free ride will continue.

You're dead right and it's just plain disgusting.

With Harris wearing the 6 inside him

Could do a lot worse...see his game on the weekend? 3 games back he's playing 80, 34 tackles, 160+ metres, 2 tries, shutting down opposition options on the left, the middle and the right lol - killing it, now that's ticker, commitment & mental toughness. Some might argue that's playing with the Storm but he has turned up regardless of how they go in the past few years. But yeah, doesn't offer much and not the Warriors style, so won't inspire anyone at all

No slight on Harris at all, but quite clearly his best position is second row, and far too often I saw Kearney toss him into 6 for the kiwis which wasn't good for him or the team, if I remember correctly in his final test match under Kearney he played centre marking Inglis too

Those performances are what Hoffman was before he set foot inside the Warriors setup too so I hope Harris doesn't go that way, still feel sorry for him the way he was shafted out of the last World Cup squad to accomodate SBWs ego and wish list

Harris was put where he was in those tests because of injuries and they needed someone who would not be overwhelmed and do a credible job, shore up the defence on that side. Kiwis were leading in that first test and when he was taken off 15 to go to give Whare a run, Oz ran in 2 tries on that side

I agree 2nd row is his position but he can mix it with the rest & does throughout a game...might not be a master of all trades but will always do the job.

Hoffman played the same role (at the Storm you just do your job in your position) and played it well so not surprised you can compare their performances. Harris is real competitive & disciplined (like Hoffy) but coming into his prime so I would expect different outcomes from his time at the Warriors.

Unabashed Kiwis fan and really looking forward to him supporting Mannering at the Warriors with what he brings to the game.

I will be in the minority here. But Kata is still relatively inexperienced in league and I think in life in general. Last year he had a really really good year. For the first time in forever we had a centre who could organise his edge and defend well. His attack was great, except for the lack of passing. This year, he's thought about quitting and clearly come back to preseason undercooked and he's never recovered.

It depends now on what he's learned. Defence is attitude. If his attitude is back on he can do a very good job. If he learns to pass, even better. If he comes in half cooked again, he will fail miserably again.

Iirc he's gone from being a fan darling because he was Konrad but showed a brain and a commitment to continuous improvement, to being unselectable in the eyes of the fan. I think he's worth the risk, it's all up to him now to justify that.

You could imagine Bellamy hit the roof when Harris signed for us..

Oh and that game he played on the weekend was a beaut! Just like his performance in the test series in England 2 years back, absolute class and future Kiwis and Warriors Capt. without doubt!

Did someone say SBW?

That would be the final nail, we'd be the West Indies of league.
I'd sign him in a heartbeat if it were up to me. Good enough for the current All Blacks with 2 RWC's and 2 NRL Premiership rings means he's a legend similar to Brad Thorn..

It's easy to forget, but last year he also had the benefit of a noted defender in T Leuluai shoring up defence on the left for about 2/3 of the season?. As well as not pairing up with Maumalo nearly as much. This year he has had Maumalo nearly every game, and either an inexperienced or broken/disinterested half as well. I think this year is a better indication of the fact that he hadn't progressed nearly as much as it appeared he had. Everything else you say is pretty spot on.

He got found out pretty badly in the Kiwis jersey at the end of last year as well.

I'm all up for Beale at LC. Not every player needs to be a superstar. Just need some who can do their job consistently.

Just having Harris in the leadership group will help us. Co Captain with RTS next year would come as no surprise. He'll captain the club at some stage. There's no doubt.

I just can't see us corrupting him. You get the feeling his standards are set too high, and unlike Hoffman, he's in his prime.
