Further update; Someone signed this morning/late last night. Don't know if this is one of the forwards or someone else, but there has been an agreement reached with a player - seperate to Adam Blair.

No idea on an announcement date.

Assistant coach not far off either.

Quiet morning at work so I've been browsing through the 'Lunatic Asylum' Forum. Not sure if you are a poster over there? It's quite funny the speed with which your rumours are reposted over there with largely no real acknowledgement of where they came from. It's almost like the conveniently quiet omission of source makes it seem like the reposter is 'in the know'.

Oh well, no biggee (though not sure what forum you mean). No worse than the Aussie league journos who have written about some of the stuff people have posted in here as their 'scoop'.

The best clubs seem to have input from several coaching sources. I'm not convinced Kearney is getting the sounding board he needs from Cap and Stacey. Cappy in particular seems like he would be in 'Yes Steve' mode all the time. A fresh voice could make a world of difference.

- Tim Browne

McKendry is pretty much Lillyman IMO, but injury prone although younger. Solid, does the job.

Would take any of those 4 TBH, would all make our top 4 prop rotation. Latu has been ruled out already though. Kikau has looked good but very early into his career, and no real NZ connection so wouldn't think so.

I did say largely. Not everyone. If you never claimed anything then good on you. I find it funny that there are obvious cases of posters over there making out like it's 'their' info.

Out of curiosity, I browse there for shits and giggles but never saw your user name come up. Why did you leave if you don't mind me asking?

i remember I joined that forum about 2 yrs ago but just found the UI and navigation terrible compared to LU. Maybe i was just used to LU and didnt give it a chance but I never went back..

I'm pretty sure McKendry has played just a handful of (trial) minutes in 14 months - caveat emptor.

Kikau has been playing on the edge a fair bit at the end of the season (ISP), so perhaps he's looking to move, or the Panthers are looking to move him? Or maybe they just think he's better there... In any case, in the middle he's got good go-forward but big defensive question marks.

Browne is a bit-part guy, I'd much prefer Latimore (who I'd also be more confident of getting more minutes out of when needed). But still, if he's at the right price he's not someone I'd complain about.

Any Latu deal seemed dead.

Leota? Would have to look deeper but seems promising, if raw.

Is the Panther necessarily a prop? Because Whare could well be out of there, given that he's seemingly lost his spot (though he did sign a long new contract this year). Otherwise... I'd take Darren Nicholls as competition for the 6 against Ata/Lino in a second, or Luai could be an option for the same (he's a Kiwi too I believe).

Was a combination of things.

With the Warriors going so horribly the overall tone of the site has understandably dropped and it's just become a bit too negative.

I work a lot from home so found myself getting distracted by conversations as posts come much quicker compared to here.

Made a lot of changes over the last 12-18 months after a horror couple of years so when something becomes too negative I like to distance myself from it and at the moment the Warriors are the definition of negative.

With the Warriors going so horribly the overall tone of the site has understandably dropped and it's just become a bit too negative.

I work a lot from home so found myself getting distracted by conversations as posts come much quicker compared to here.

Made a lot of changes over the last 12-18 months after a horror couple of years so when something becomes too negative I like to distance myself from it and at the moment the Warriors are the definition of negative.

It's funny you say that. The last couple of games of the season i made a deliberate choice not to come on here after the game when that's usually one of the first things i would think of doing. I waited until the next day so my frustration had subsided. I understand all the negativity here at the moment because there was a lot of hope for this year, but found it was actually worse than the reality of just watching the game and seeing the same old happening. Having said that, I enjoy the participation on this forum. It's nothing like the other one. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it helps to have somewhere to vent that isn't a long suffering partner.

If you lasted longer than a week participating on the other forum then you're an infinitely more patient person than i am. At least here it always comes around to logic of some type.

As far as Mix's rumours go, I've always appreciated his 'ethical' drip feed of info. He's like a dealer who knows when we need something positive to bring us around, and delivers right when we need it. There's never been an element of big noting himself. Just understands that spirits need to be lifted. I'm also a big believer in credit where it's due.

So thanks Mix, it's always appreciated.

Yeah Mix is pretty legit. There are other characters on here that go a bit too far with the "In the know" information.
