Ah Mau is on very good money!, there were several NRL clubs and some superleague side who were after him. He was a stand out NRL prop over the last 3 years and arguably close to the best in 2018. Awesome signing and even though he did want to come home he still took up some cap.

He was not even arguably the best at the Dragons - seriously, keep it real

Looking at Ah Mau's stats I'm pretty happy. Averaged about 40 minutes, ran for about 130m a game, 23 tackles, 2.5 tackle breaks, 1 offload, and only 11 errors/penalties all year, doesn't miss too many tackles.

He's not one of the elite props of the game, but I think he's a very good 2nd or 3rd prop in your rotation.

Those are good numbers. Paasi averages just over 100m a game this year as well, that's two solid 1st and 2nd bananas. Hopefully Gavet and Bunty step up around them next year, makes the rotation look a lot more solid.

There’s been noises about Nathan coming aboard but nothing made official until October I thought

So, we'll need a backup half and potentially a hooker (luke depending)

Lino could be a huge loss, especially if Green or Johnson go down

Really hope he stays, he is essential for us to win or get close to a premiership, need another great year or two out of him.

Issac apparently staying with us on a one-year contract. I know his attitude reportedly stinks but I think we needed to make that re-signing, and keeping him in contract year is ideal.

With Tevaga the established bench utility, can't see where that leaves Roache. Guess he'll have to impress in ISP and wait for injuries.

If he is fit, maybe Roache starts the season as Bully works his way back from the shoulder surgery. I'd assume that he is going to be missing pre-season training due to the shoulder?

I guess with Tevaga's DallyM wing he is going to be locked into the 14 jersey and SK is going to say I told you so. However I still think we are an aggressive prop short on our roster. The finals series proved for me that the big men are far from dead in our game. To be competitive you need 4 big, fit, preferably aggressive, props.

Roache isn't a back rower by any means, but he can easily play the middle forward speed/ruck role from the bench that Kearney loves and Tevaga currently provides. It's basically what Radley does for the Roosters and Brandon Smith does for the Storm. It gives us hooker cover from the bench as well. There's no reason why it needs to be the 60 plus minutes that Tevaga currently provides.
