I don't really get the Kiwi reference either. We should obviously be chasing the best players regardless of their race. I doubt that SK's role as NZ coach would hold much sway at all when Kiwi players are considering what club to go to. I think we'll struggle in the player market unless things pick up soon, all the off contract players would be thinking our club is an absolute laughing stock at the moment. I already heard one player even refused a simple meeting with the club because he thinks we're such a basket case.

The radio reported up here that the Titans contracts with DT and Cronk were being investigated by the NRL. I'm guessing he will stay with Bellamy though and go to St George.

not sure with sheens but historically yes, there is evidence of players signing with clubs due to the club coach also being the test coach

Maybe, with Kearney's influence, but the way we are playing at the moment, that advantage is diminished somewhat. Almost completely tbh.

Foxsports have reported that Schubert has requested a copy of the contract before it goes ahead so I dont see the NRL stopping anything unless its dodgy.

And just on SK, alot of the Kiwi fans are not too thrilled about him as a coach and possibly some of the players feel the same way so I can see why he may not necessarily attract kiwi players.

It really doesn't mean much, Sheens is the Aussie coach and the Tigpies are not doing much better than us.
