I think it will end the Critta rumour because I don’t think they can afford to spend much more on their backline. They really need to concentrate on their pack now, Spencer definitely improves that.

JAC signed a 4 year contract for what Crichton isn't happy with being offered. A premiership winning rep player with more than a single season behind him.

I dont see how Crichton is worth more than him. 1 season hardly establishes a player as being worth millions. I kind of hope Tigers sign him on $750k and he flops like Mbye, Doeuhi, Reynolds, BJ etc. Just as it's hilarious how often they buy duds on overs

Cannot blame the WoESTS me Tigers, its all Ivan fault! remember? He bought a whole heap of players that they were quite happy to aquire and sign off on (Pascoe) Up until he wasnt there to coach them, coz they didn't want him to stay till the end of his contract, remember having a coach going elsewhere in later seasons is "UNTENABLE"
he wasn't even going til 2022, thats 3 years they could have come in at 9th, instead of madges 11th this year.... pfft

I'd say both halves are cheap compared to what other clubs are spending on their halves. Most would be averaging 1.5mill. Dogs paid 300k for Flannagan and I guessing 550-600K for Burton.
Even if Cotric and JAC was 600k each. They also save on fullback and have a low paid hooker. I reckon they'd have a stack of cash to spend tbh. It is just where do they want to spend it?
I think 1.2mill on your wingers is silly.

I feel even if Flannagan and Burton are not super stars they are hardly a terrible cost.

If what Blade and Franklin have said about Critta not having any other real offers on the table is true(and I dont doubt them) then the only reason I can see for that is Critta hasnt seriously spoken to any other clubs. His manager is using the media to try and drive up the price it seems. Situations like Spencers concern me more, we have not heard anything about that from his manager or Spence or seen any of the speculative articles that we have seen for Critta.
