I agree Luai has shown incredible loyalty to bide his time behind Cleary and Maloney. Yeo was a solid first grader until 4 months ago so time will tell what he does with his success but he seems like an absolute stand up guy. Staines had signed for less to play on the end of Kikau/Luai/Crichton. If he stays fit there’s every chance he’s a Kangaroo by the end of the year and away he goes.

We can each have our own memories and things we value in players. Josh doesn’t have to be and isn’t the only loyal player there ever was. I value the commitment he showed to our club over the whole period we were dragging ourselves out of mediocrity and can’t help but assume he has played a huge part in developing the culture and standard we now see on display.

I value his commitment also. I just dont see it as more valuable than any other player that has shown similar commitment and made similar sacrifices, I respect Staines and Leniu just as much for not jumping ship. Josh did very well out of us overall, he went from unwanted by Souths in 2011 to playing for NSW and Australia 5 years later, he wasnt stuck is some shit show. We had some bad seasons but his time here has been one of the clubs most successful periods in terms of top 8 finishes.

I don’t see anything wrong with Josh expressing disappointment in what’s happened.

That’s life.

Such a strange thing to still be discussing, but carry on.

He did more than express disappointment imo he was pretty critical over something most players face.

Odd for you to be concerned over topics of discussion when your most common subject of discussion lately has been Jane.

Betscats, you have to just admit, Luke thinks he is right all of the time. It is his opinion that matters the most. He is on my ignored list, as is ACTPanthers.

Who is concerned? I just think it’s an odd thing to keep talking about.

I placed Jane on my ignore list because I regonised it was contributing to the shit chat on here. Surely your not trying to introduce more?

I was just trying to talk about Mansour tbh. I dont know why that is strange to you.

I think they must be waiting for the cap space for 2021 to be freed up so they can upgrade him.

I’m not worried about losing him, I think it’s very likely he stays, I’m worried about the price he’s demanding which will change the team. The money being talked about is insane for a 26 game centre.

We offered contracts to Yeo and Luai first and they are facing the same delays. I dont think the delay is about the price Critta is asking for 2022.

??

We know definitively there is. He would’ve signed weeks ago if he’d stayed true to his word. He even confirmed it.

It's been a wild ride reading through here.

So apparently Jane is the black sheep of the forum.

Kikau does get fatigued resulting in defensive lapses at times. How "easily" that happens is debatable.

I agree with @herbert henry1908 Crichton taking time isn't the same as the others. It was suppose to be sorted weeks ago but keeps getting pushed back. It feels weird.

@Kilkenny I for one love Mansour, I?would've preferred he retire a Panther and work for the club somehow but life happebs. I do think it's odd it turned into a big deal though when he's a 30 year old winger with a JAC style winger coming for his spot. He had to know or at least understand that Staines is ready to be given a go.

Also it's @betcats own fault for making sense that he gets too many notifications that I liked a post. You so it to yourself really.

I dont mean they arent negotiating the amount. I am just saying there is no way Yeo and Luai are playing hard ball and negotiating like Critta and yet they are not signed despite being offered their contracts weeks ago. I think all three are getting an upgrade next season and the money for it isnt freed up yet. Wouldnt suprise me at all if all three had already agreed to a deal with us.

Freeing up the space is what concerns me. If Crichton signed to his original agreed deal, or close to it, there may not be this talk of shedding Tetevano.

It seems likely we’re having to make salary cap moves to accomodate Crichton’s new asking price.

I won’t get into a long discussion about it again, but if we lose Tetevano I have big concerns over our prop rotation. Eisenhuth as the fourth prop puts us one injury away from having a pretty weak front row, or perhaps having to weaken our backrow.

We have known for a long time now he isnt going to sign that deal, it is what is. As long as he keeps working hard this preseason I think he is going to be worth more than 500k. Its not just him though, Blade has said its not just Crichton who wants an upgrade. All three of them just got picked in their first rep squad, two of them didnt play but it seems like something their managers would use to get more.

As far as our forward depth goes we are going to have an extremely strong forward pack, I dont know what they will do to replace tetvano depth wise but I am sure the will do something, we have to wait and see how it plays out before we can really have an opinion on it. Having a prop as good as Leniu outside our top 17 is just a luxury we cant afford given the amount of in demand players we are trying to retain so it was always going to be a struggle to maintain that quality depth. That being said I think Lindsay Smith will definitely figure at some point next season, he is a very talented player.

I'd like to think Critta Luai, Yeo will all re-sign.

None of them will be cheap to re-sign especially Critta.

I believe Moses will again step up big time in 2021, and it wouldn't shock me to see Yeo brought in as a prop (especially with his ball playing, the game being faster and his footwork)

All of this takes time.

Zane will probably be moved on his the logical choice.

Pleased to see the club holding out against the leaching clubs of Dogs and W/T. Even if it's just to hear their fans moan and complain.

Talk to the hand the face isn't listening.

In regards to the prop depth of assuming Zane is going to be released, they will have to be planing something. Without Zane our top 17 will include FIsh, Leota, Leniu and Eisenhuth with no idea who the next prop in line is. They cant go into a season like that, hoping we dont get any injuries in our prop rotation, they will have to do something. Whether that is moving someone, or signing someone or giving a young guy at the club they think can do the job a go I dont know but they have to be planning something, thats why I think we need to wait and see.

Lindsay Smith was elevated into the first grade squad, without being in the development part, he maybe in their plans.
